I was working late, and was quite tired, I was walking to my car, threw my backpack in the passenger seat, and walked around to the drivers side, opened the door, grabbed my mod from my pocket(uncomfortable to sit with it in Dockers lol) and lost grip.

I thought I just dropped it back into my pocket, but then I heard it crash against the pavement. I picked it up and my Atlantis 2 had been separated by the bottom 510 connection, and my sigelei 150 had a nice gouge in it...

Luckily my go-to vape shop was still open, and I was able to grab a new tank (uwell Crown v1 [emoji106]) but it was a serious wakeup call for me that I may not be able to do that ever again... I may never be able to go to a shop and get a replacement anything if I'm away from home.

I was able to fix the Atlantis (minus the airflow ring) but works as well as before.

So what was your wakeup call that all this may be coming to an end? Was it the regs? Your specific country/state? I'm curious now...

If your tank just separated from the base then you can press them back together. They are only pressed together in the first place, just make sure you have them aligned right and press the two parts back into place again.

You'll usually either need a vice or at the very least a good flat surface to place the edges of the base on (Do not press on the 510 connector itself) and something to place between the top of your hand and the base of the tank. I have a piece of 2X4 with a hole drilled in it that I use. Place the 510 in the hole, have the base supported by the board, and then gently tap the top half into place with a rubber mallet. I've lost track of the number of bases I have repaired for people by doing this.

The downside is sometimes once that base comes apart it never stays securely back together, but usually they do with no problem.

Two plus years ago, when WA started moving toward restrictions, when threads here started talking about the coming deeming.

Began moving all my mods to replaceable battery types then, all my toppers to full rebuildables, juice to diy and stocking 100 mg/ml nic.

And writing State and Federal level "representatives", petitions, and trying to spread the word.

Alas, too many ostriches...

My wake up call came early on in my Vape journey, back then it was a 30 minute drive one way to the nearest shop. After a few short months, I knew this (vaping) was the way I wanted to go, and started hearing about the deeming, I contemplated stocking up coils and juice and quickly figured out that would not be realistic for the long term, so I took up DIY and learned how to re-build. I have been prepping for things to not be available first, by loading up on PT2 coils as I watched the market move to higher watts and lower ohms. Then as products kept changing and old ones faded, I shopped for older stuff on sale or clearance prices, and used gear that folks were moving away from.

Luckily, I was playing around with it this morning, and got it back together (minus the air flow control ring) and it works great! Possibly better than it used to!

My boss lets me vape in my office at work, but only as long as no one else complains, which means I need to keep any visible vapor as well as the smell to a minimum.

I use a Nautilus at work, but I am a direct to lung hitter. I achieved this by pulling the base of my Nautilus apart and removing the airflow control ring entirely. It's still restrictive, but with a total of 5 holes now opened up on it, tight DTL hits are possible.

My wake-up call was seeing the price of cigarettes go up while my health steadily declined. In my 39 years of smoking I managed to not get cancer and vaping came along at just the right time. I just hope I didn't start too late.
Aint that the truth...

when i started vaping 4~years ago, cigarettes here were 7-14$ a pack... Now currently at 10-18$ a pack... with walmart being set at 12.00$ exactly across the board for all brands.

"We know whats best" says the fda/government... sure.

6 hours

Hey Alien, man I got so many attys, as long as there is space in my pocket, rucksack, car etc. i will have a spare mod, rba, juice and at the very least, 2 batts.

I've even mustered a little baggy with a little blue screwdriver and pre made coils with cotton. Scissors are obviously a problem. Won't have them in my pocket so... I'll work that out

No willpower over here, just spares ;)

It was not trusting the Govt too much, and being a Prepper anyway.

The next time it comes apart, you can put the air flow control ring back on. Done that to my Nautilus more times than I can count
