I'm using a Red Dragon with fresh empty carto and a Kr808 from V4L with a fresh empty carto. Same results with both. It must be me. Anyway hope I didn't offend anyone.
Really dig the forum.

I don't think you offended anyone, seriously Taste is purely subjective. What some of us love, others detest, and it happens frequently all over these forums.

Everyone hopefully discovers what they like... and what they'd never purchase again because it just didn't work out for them.

I hope you discover an e-liquid that you like as much as I like Halo! vaping rocks and finding something to rely on has been monumental in my successfully quitting smoking.... for good... as long as I have a steady supply of back-ups and what makes me happy

Not everyone has the same taste in vaping that's for sure. I think Freedom is awesome, but now I really like the Harley! Plus, now that I've quite smoking I think I'll put my trust in Halo. Not saying that China can't produce a good juice - but heck have you seen some of the reports coming out from there manufacturing industry in the last year? Just sayin' is all...

I don't think anyone should be offended, that's what these forums are for. Anyway to me the freedom juice tates really different but good, I'm starting to really like it, on the other hand the harley56 tastes and smells like rubbing alcohol, so yes, taste is purely subjective because seems I'm the only one here with this complaint. I let some sit for 4 hours in a cup and seems to be better....hmmm.

I've been tearing through my Halo-juice like crazy lately. Not sure if it's my "hot atty" problem, or if I'm just vaping a lot I had to place another order last night! Good thing they ship so fast -and being in jersey - I get it in 2 days

Yeah, if you think Harley tastes like alcohol try bella vinalla. That one for sure has ameretta or crwon royal in it. Not sure what, but it has something in there.

Halo Freedom is quite good. But I have difficulty opening the bottle and have lost nearly a third to evaporation due to the cap not sealing back on properly. I find the dropper and the awkward cap cumbersome and usually revert back to another brand in frustration.

Right now the cap is on crooked and it seems impossible to loosen it off the bottle. Any suggestions?

Interesting I am not having that much trouble...I did at first I realized there was some plastic still around the neck of the bottle that I didn't peel off (because they are sealed when you get them)Once I got it all off it closed right....check that and if that isn't the problem maybe you got a bad cap?

I had a little bit of trouble with my first bottle! It took me a while to figure out that I need both hands to open it. You need to push down firmly on the white cap surrounding the dropper top.

Also! Don't try to over-tighten the cap when you screw it back on. If you try to tighten it down too hard, it will unseat itself and possibly get stuck in an odd position that is really hard to re-open.

When that happened to me I just took my time and put firm consistent downward pressure onto the cap and twisted until I felt the "child proof" locking thread disengage.

I SO appreciate the fact that these bottles are genuinely child proof. It may be a bit of a pain to open, but I am confident that if I have a moment of distraction and leave my Halo bottles on the table - no little hands will be able to get that top off!!

I am fairly new to vaping and look to this forum for insight. The reviews where quite good for Halo... pure, clean, good vapor, so I wanted to try. Great vapor, but its not my taste so I was definatley disappointed with this flavor (Freedom). It did noy have much "flavor" to me. I prefer JC

Mine just showed up...Its cold and snowing out so I had to let the bottle warm up a while before trying.

Born on date is 02/04/2010, this stuff was mixed just 4 days ago!

Interesting flavor, tobacco, vanilla, something just slightly floral...Good throat hit (everything pales in comparison to the Harley56 for throat hit to me now) and massive amounts of vapor. Very clean, little aftertaste, does seem to dry out my mouth though.

Will be interesting to see how this one changes over the next few days, had a really bad day with H56 this weekend but was back to normal this morning.

Vaped Freedom last night, started again with it this morning, beginning to really enjoy it more and more. Like everybody is saying: you have to give it some time (at least 2 days) for appreciating it. So, today I will continue.

I have two bottles of freedom.

One is a 12mg sample born on 1/21/2010
The other is 18mg glass bottle born on 2/04/2010

I opened the sample yesterday and have been vaping on it for 24 hours. I cracked open the seal on the glass bottle of Freedom and did a smell test. World of difference. The newly opened Freedom smells similar to alcohol. I have now opened all three of my halo juices in these glass bottles and they all seem to have the same alcohol type smell (freedom, smooth8, newpure) along with the appropriate flavor of course.

The sampler I have, seems to have changed flavors over night. I once thought the flavor was really strong. It's seemed to tone down a bit to a much more enjoyable level. The smell has now just a hint of alcohol, but even the day I opened it the smell of alcohol was not as strong as it appears to be in these glass bottles. I'm thinking the glass bottles preserve it much better than the plastic samplers.

Maybe some ingredient has to settle before this juice tastes right. I will keep smelling and vaping them for a few days before I give my final word.

I received my first bottle of HALO Freedom Juice yesterday. I broke out a new atty for my 3.7 vape and a new HV atty for my 5v. The initial smell from the bottle was not exactly appealing - the chemical/ alcohol smell someone previously described is what I experienced. I found the juice to vape the best at 3.7v. The vapor production is some of the best I have experienced. The taste however is different. My initial taste resembled an aged cedar plank marinated in kerosene and lightly salted 8-o. But with the incredible amount of vapor I continued to vape it for several hours. It did improve some and surprisingly left no big aftertaste- and based on the post I read here about getting better with time I will continue to work with it. I used the same atty this morning for my JC Expresso and the flavor combo has real possibilities. I also received a sample of Menthol Ice. I am not a menthol person but this was so good I believe a bottle will be added to my arsenal.

one day vaping and I really dig this stuff, it get's to you!! Complex, not sweet, mellow, refreshing, pure, good after taste, loads of vape and a smooth throat hit. Very much recommended!!
