Halo Freedom/Smooth/Torque recipes???

Art: That's good news. How long has it steeped? That might cure the sweetness with time. What's your final mix? 12% in 100% PG? I've run out of legit Torque56, so I'm afraid I'm left to my imagination and memory now lol. But I have legit tribeca and truepure to work with, as well as malibu

Siam: I'm eager for that one as well. I bought the pina coolada, and that may be *part* of it. I'm thinking some pina coolada and some n/port, but its gonna take tweaking. Will work on it eventually. Saving my last ml of Malibu for this purpose.

Update....12% 100% pg taste spot on after a mix and shake. Not sweet at all plenty of vaper on a CE2 tank light in a LR carto. The 15% after three days of steeping with a 85/15 mix is really coming together now I steep it open for 24 hours or so shook it repeatedly and steeped caped over two more days and have vaped about half of the 30mls....lol. Can keep my lips off it I have no actual Torque around to keep me from feening. Have 75/25 12 and 15 steeping right now also I have high hopes...the 85/15 produces a respectable amount of vapor of a CE 2 and lr carto. This percentage was suggested by Hossier and has really proven to vape well.

I do have to say though that if i chain vape it it is still a little on the sweet side but perhaps a full week steep will cured that also as it is coming together. First two or three vapes is spot on after three days at 15% 85/15 mix 24mgs. ( btw.. All the mixes are 24mgs/mls)

Totally vapable and enjoyable.. Could vape all day three toots set it done for a few three toots...mmmmmm yummy!

All,

I also need to comment on the My freedom smoke liquids. Hint of chemical smell in the pg and nic. The nic has really tanned at all with top off steeping at 24mgs. Pretty happy with all their products so far. Just the undertone smell of chemical which is greatly lessened with open capped steeping.

Like i said it hasn't tanned noticably while steep but the 100% pg 12% 24 mg did tan a lot in the tank through out the vape. Although I think more than the actual Smooth 8 i have in the same CE2 tank ( vision stone 3s ). It certainly could be these tanks because both liquid real and clone are darkening a lot say double in 5mls vaping down. Is that normal or what? In my cartos my original Torque left a snowy white filler. Just checked the clone carto white as can be. Must be getting a lot of blow by with the stone 3 tank.

Anyway great liquids from MFS have worked out... Thanks for the suggestion Mr Pickle.

All my liquids get super dark when in a clearomizer, I think that's normal

great post! so what's your favorite right now, the 12% 100% PG, or the 85/15 15%? Are they both sweet during chain vaping?

I agree on the chemical bite of the MFS nic, I start to *taste* it at 24, anything less than that I can't pick it up. I don't smell it though, or even taste it literally, its more of a pungent, alkaline bite I get. Yes some of that is throat hit, but some of it is not. Never noticed it until recently which is the funny thing lol.

The 12% at 100% pg is really Torquey and not sweet unless you chain vapes for an hour...lol Really is great in the CE2 would not recommend in a carto as the vapor is of course low as expected. I think the 85/15 will be great for FTV. Can see 75/25 being low on hit high on vapor based only on the previous mix.

I really like the stinkiness of torque that not clean feeling. That's why the over sweetness bothered me so much. Just a note open topped steeping did clean the smell up as well. Very happy with the results so far.

Thanks for the note on the tank. I check the results in the tank at 85/15. Last night i didn't otice it so bad as i did with the straight pg Torque mix. It was dark though and i filled on top of it this morning without thinking.

Who is mixing Smooth 8 and happy with it? I will eventually run out or the original though i usually only vape it to clear my palet from sweet juices.

I wouldn't worry about the darkened juice in the tank either way, it never affected flavor for me, and its vaped off before long anyway lol

FTV means what? lol. Trying to understand that sentence...

I think the 85/15 will be great for FTV

you mean uncapped steeping cleaned up the nicotine/basic smell in your DIY juice?

I just got a sample of RY4-Asian from Perfumers Apprentice and it smells very close to Tribecca with maybe one note missing. I have not mixed up a sample yet but will in the next few days and let everyone know how it turns out. Just not sure on what percentage to start with?

I have some interesting findings to report on tribeca, after having gotten my fresh batch from halo the other day.

The Ruyan5 is certainly the sweetener side of the equation for Tribeca, but NOT the whole baby. Sorry folks

Good news is I think I know what is, and its dirt cheap.

I've been vaping Halo exclusively for the last two years after some bad experience with other flavors. Needless to say, at 30ML/per week that gets expensive. I'm very interested in mixing my own Smooth8 and Freedom, and I am looking for recommendations on where to buy the PG, VG, and Nicotine at a reasonable price. A good source for mixing tools would be appreciated as well.

its going great! how about you?
i have settled on 15% State Express 555 with 65/35 PG/VG.
i dont have any PG. currently my only source of PG is my nic, its in 100% PG. so my max PG% = 65. once i get some PG i can do a mix at say 80/20 (seems to be what Halo uses, or maybe even 85/15). and once i do that, im betting that i can tone down the flavor %. but for now im really enjoying it as it is. not to mention the fact that i just scored a free 30mL bottle of Prime15 from Halo (thank you promotional contest! ), so itll be a while before i need to mix again. but i have been mixing for another ECF member and he cant get enough, so i know its not just me who likes it.

80/20 at 15% seems to be a sweet spot on both the Smooth 8 and Torque 56 DIY. ymmv
