No i did not catch your recipe post yet,i was just skimming thru this one.As i said Prime15 has been my ADV for a year and i love the flavor, and i also DIY.I can't/refuse(No offense meant here either),if you will,to vape a clone of my ADV because it never does come close to the real thing, beleive me i have tried to clone it myself, and have failed at many, many attempts.I just skim thru other posts i see about Prime15 to see if anyone actually does get the correct mix.I did not mean for my reply to come across as mean/angry,i was just referring to what i know about Prime, that's all.I do not think we will ever get it cloned as the Halo base itself, has a very unique taste.Unless Halo ever releases the recipe,ha,ha,ha,......i do not see that in the near future. This is what sucks about DIY'ing, when you find your ADV,...you can't actually DIY it all and wind up spending more money just to make sure you never run out of it.I hope you guys can actually come up with an actual Prime15 recipe that tastes like Prime15.

You would be surprised, my friend. You should read through the thread. This clone is spot on. It has that "Halo" musty quality that so many can't replicate. I have two friends who vape Prime15 exclusively. I have been using their taste buds as guinea pigs. They are so impressed, that both of them purchased 100ml of this clone from me rather than Halo (I only charged them cost). The extra cocoa note is the only thing that needs to be cranked up. Everything else is there. The peanutiness, the mustiness, the dryness, and some of the cocoa are all present. I researched for the correct additive and really nailed the key to this. I think it would tickle you if you put your doubts aside and give it a try. If you don't want or have the supplies in your arsenal, I would be happy to send you a little bottle, but only after the FA cocoa arrives. Keep an eye on this thread.

If you have used strickly Prime15 vapers as the guinea pigs, and they choose it over the real thing,i deffinately want to try this.At the moment i do not have any Cocoa,TMP,or the AP.I do have an order i am getting ready to put in at ECX and will have to pick these three up at TPA and one of them at FA.I normally use FW flavors and they have a cocoa flavor(double dutch) which does not have the dry cocoa taste and i will not try using this one as it could potentially give a bad result.I am going to keep my eye on this thread and keeping my fingers crossed that i do enjoy this Prime clone:toast:

Even without the last step of adding extra cocoa, this clone is amazingly close with just the Hangsen T5, Acetyl Pyrazene, and Trimethyl Pyrazene. I mean really close. You may find that a single drop of any dry chocolate flavor gives it that final push. As I'm looking for true authenticity, I will wait for the FA cocoa to arrive. I did, however add a tiny bit of TFA double chocolate to one of my tester batches and it put a big smile on my face. I don't believe the type of chocolate (or cocoa) used in the end is quite as critical because the true secret sauce is in the TMP, which has a very specific cocoa note of its own. Once you open a bottle of TMP, your eyes will light up, I'm sure. It smells like more than half of Halo's product line.

If you do not mind me asking, where did you get your TMP from?? I know TPA has it in four different sizes, the 1oz. bottle for $17 and 80ml for $34.00,is there another vendor i do not know about that might be a little cheaper for the larger TMP,i know a little goes a long way with this additive, but it is nice to have it on hand just for those certain recipes you must have?

I got mine from TPA. The 1oz will make roughly 1500ml of prime. I'd say that's plenty.

Have you settled on a final percent for the AP and TMP?. I've settled on 1% AP and 3% TMP. Been vaping that now for the last week and compared that to the actual prime 15 and those elements are correct. Still waiting on my order for the cocoa. I have the VZ double chocolate super concentrate which I've been meaning to try but because it's so strong I think I'll have to add it to a 10ml test batch via tooth pick dabs. Hope to have time this evening to give it a shot.

I've been using 2% TMP and was thinking of increasing it to 3% as well, so I do think you're on the right track. I may also add 1% Tetramethyl to my next batch along with fairyfart quantity of FA cocoa.

I have been reading and following this thread since dannyv45 and XfooYen have been posting this amazing development on the Prime15, I have ordered all the required flavorings and the only one I haven't received yet is the Cocoa, could one of you post the latest percentages that you have found to be the closest to the flavorings?

What I have so far is:

VZ Hangsen T5 @ 6%
AP @ 1%
TMP @ 3%

Does this sound right?

I have ordered the items needed for the Prime clone myself since my last post with Xfooyen. If what Xfooyen posted to me about the TMP,having the cocoa taste in it,you might not need the cocoa flavoring?? Just guessing here.I am really hoping this pans out because this would be a big let down for me,i vape Prime15 everyday of the week,on the other hand if it does work, what will i do with my original Prime15 juice i keep on hand(i buy it 180ml-270ml's an order)???

I do

T5 @ 7%
AP @ 1%
TMP @ 2 - 3% I've decided that 3% is to nutty and when I try the cocoa I'm going to cut the TMP back to 2% or eliminate the AP and leave TMP at 3%.

I have not fiddled with the cocoa yet.

Actually what I meant was the TMP has a cocoa note, but not enough. I think a tiny addition of cocoa flavor will round it out. I received cocoa from FA and it smells like an accurate representation of the same note in prime. I'm confident the tiniest bit is all that's needed to finish this recipe.

Thanks danny - I am going to make my first test sample today.

And I will do the Tribeca too.

As all I had on hand was the TFA Chocolate I added about a half a drop (Maybe .25%) to 10ml and it is developing the missing ingredent. I sampled it right away and compared it to actual prime 15 and it is further moved in that direction. Will give the rest of the sample a few days to develpe.

Also want to mention that the only sample of actual prime 15 I have is about 4 months old and has been sitting in a clearo. So I'm not sure how much the actual taste has changed over that time. If anyone has a small fresh sample of actual prime 15 they would like to send me that would help so just PM me. I do believe though that with the addition of the chocolate we are 99.75% there I just need to adjust it.

So far

T5 @ 7%
AP @ 1%
TMP @ 3%
TFA chocolate @ .25%

danny - I don't have it yet, but expecting delivery of a fresh bottle of Prime15 in today's vapemail!

I would gladly send you a little to help in your tweaking if you would like. PM me and let me know.

Update on prime

Just want to give an update on the chocolate addition. I added another drop making it about 1% and although it bought it a little closer body wise there's still a distinct flavor missing and I don't think chocolate is it. What is missing is hard to describe. The best I can describe it would be a combination of mosey/herbal/smokey/hickory or something within the mix of that combination I just can't put my finger on it. It's not a cream or candy (Caramel/vanilla) maybe a herb/spice or hickory maple flavoring. It seams to linger on the tounge and in the air during exhale.

I did get the Prime15 today and it's a fresh batch so it will take it a while to develop! I also got "all" the flavorings too - even the Cocoa!

I didn't get my test batch made today - too much going on at the homestead - so hopefully tomorrow.

danny - I also got some of this: Guaiacol 1% (PG) phenolic smoke spice - do you think this could be the missing flavor?
