Halo juice issues

Just got in a sampler juice pack and a big bottle of Malibu. Also got some Malibu carts.
The carts taste GREAT but the juice tastes horrible and is very "chemical" even after opening the bottles, squeezing out the old air and sucking in some fresh air and letting them sit opened for 24 hours. Even the 30ml of Malibu.
No matter what I put that juice in - carto on G6 or atty on Darwin - it tastes like crap and takes a long time to rinse out of my mouth. Ick.

For now I'm putting it on a shelf. When I get back from leave next month maybe it will have "steeped" enough?

I'm willing to take a bath on the whole juice thing as a valuable juice learning lesson but I just really want to know:

What's the deal with this juice?

Sorry guy. No clue at all what you are talking about. I ordered a sampler pack and just about drank the whole thing up it was so good. Especially the Tribeca, Tiki and Malibu. There were a couple I didn't like, but that was just tastes, it wasn't anything they had in common with the rest of the pack.

Maybe you don't like the Halo tobacco base? But you did say even the Malibu, which doesn't have that base IMO. What do you like?

Why the 30ml of Malibu? Did you try it and like it in the pre-filled cartos? I've never ordered prefilleds from Halo, but I've found that with the prefilleds I've tried from other vendors the juice always tastes a little different and the cartos never perform as well as an empty carto filled fresh. Something changes with the juice soaking in that filler for a long time, but not for the better IMO. That's all just my opinion, a lot of people like the prefilleds, but my point is that prefilled juice does taste different than fresh juice no matter where it is from.

Tried the Prime 15 again and it tasted like an ashtray. I don't know if it's just me or what. I'm putting it all away for a month and will come back and try it again.
But now I need to get the ashtray/chemical taste out of my mouth.

Are you using fresh cartomizers for each flavor of juice? What method are you using to re-fill the cartomizers?

I tried Prime 15 this morning with a re-filled carto and didnt care for it much...
Got some new cartos on the way to give it another try!

Well, good luck bro. If you're confident in your atties and the way your using the juice then that pretty much leaves you two options - either you got a bad batch, which would be really strange especially if no one else did, or you just don't like the flavors, some people don't.

I'll take the Tribecca, Tiki, Malibu and any Smooth 8 off your hands if they are 6mg

Malibu is under the G6 cartomizers (kr808).

well, I pm'd JB & messaged Halo through their site less than 5 minutes after I placed the order..............I hope they will understand that some of us are totally blond & totally addicted to their malibu menthol. I want to keep my juice order (2 bottles of malibu in 6mg), but I'm trying to cancel the 4 boxes of 808 cartos.

Well, I will say this though - the manual G6 batteries are great so it's not a total wash. My cartos from another vendor fit fine on them and they charge up on my existing PCCs fine as well.
But I guess my taste buds just don't like Halo juice. Just tried the Tiki in a brand-new fresh carto and...well..meh. Couldn't really taste it or get vapor from it. Letting it sit overnight to mellow or whatever and then will try again.

Just tried the Tribeca 24mg AND it tastes and smells EXACTLY like my DK-TAB. Anybody else getting this ?

Yeah, Tribeca is a lot like DK-Tab, but with the a nice medium Halo tobacco base underneath (the base I'm talking about is the one that is strong in Harley and lighter in Freedom). Now I think of Tribeca as the Halo RY4.

I'm liking the Tribeca better than DK-Tab right now - and I've got a little stock of DK-Tab so that might be a problem...I'm ordering another 30ml of Tribeca right now to see if I will continue to like it this much through another 30ml.

Anyway, it's definitively a lot like DK-Tab, but I noticed the difference more after switching from Tribeca back to DK-Tab than I did when I first started on the Tribeca coming off of a DK-Tab stretch.

OK, so I've let the sampler pack and the extra bottles of Tribeca sit for 5 days now.
Due to being completely out of my regular 555 & RY4 from another vendor I decided to take another crack at Tribeca.
NOW it tastes OK and tastes closer to my usual RY4 juice.
Not much TH but I did only get the 6mg bottles - experimenting with various mg levels from 12 on down trying to kick nicotine.
So far so good though. Once this 10ml bottle is done I'll move on to the sampler of Prime 15 everyone says comes close to 555.
By then it should have sat around in the shack long enough to have changed for the better - I hope.
Hopefully by next Tuesday I should have my 510-to-808 adapter for my Darwin and should be able to test it out cranking it up and down at various voltage levels to see if that improves it any.

So, to re-cap: Out of the mail it all tasted like crap except for the Malibu cartos. Let it all sit for 5 days and the Tiki started "coming alive" to me and the Tribeca sorted itself to actually be enjoyable. Once done with Tribeca I'll move on to re-testing Prime 15.

Note to self: when ordering juices, do NOT order below 12mg of nicotine or I won't be able to replicate the TH of the old Marlboro Lights I used to smoke.

Follow-up on the Tribeca: I've been vaping this the whole day and it's grown on me. I kind of like it now. Of course, next time I'll order in a stronger ~12mg nicotine mix, but the flavor is nice now.
