I just got a Halo Triton starter kit and I bought the e-liquid that was at the smoke shop I bought it from. I feel like I filled it right as it's not that difficult. I am getting like no vapor off of it. I'm getting throat hit but I see little to no vapor. Is the e-liquid I bought crap or am I not drawing off it right? Anyone have any ideas? I doubt it's defective as both are doing it not just one.

battery is fully charged and post looks dry. I guess it's the juice. I didn't shake it before filling and I heard from a friend who vapes that you should always do that. Could that be why?

Not so much. Shaking just helps mixing the flavors. But it could be junk juice. Have you tried another tank on the same battery?? Or the tank you are currently using on another battery?? That might help narrow it down.

Hi anismonic, and welcome to the Halo forum.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with Garemlin. It could be that you didn't shake it. You should always do this to make sure that everything is combined well. The PG and VG can separate, and if you using a juice high in PG anyway, and you don't get any VG because you didn't shake it up, that can reduce vapor. Are you using a Halo juice (it doesn't matter, just curious)?

Another thing to look at is the little rubber "condom" thing over the coil post. Is it firmly pressing on the wicks? If so, try pulling it up just very slightly--if it's on too tight is can choke the wicks (causing them to get no liquid).

i'll try switching them out. if that doesn't work, i'll stop at the smoke shop when they open at 10 and have them take a look and if they determine nothing is wrong maybe they'll give me my money back for the liquid. they carry halo juice there they just charged a lot for it. regardless of if they give me my money back i think i'll get a bottle of that stuff.

I will take a look! I was kinda thinking the same thing, if I'm getting like too much PG and not enough fluid or VG then I'm just inhaling the one ingredient. I have a feeling that most people don't buy that brand of liquid and that it had been sitting there on their shelf for a while. I wish I could pour it back in the bottle but it's a 10ml so it doesn't have a dropper, it's just a drip bottle.

You should be able to pour it back in the bottle--I've poured liquid from Triton tanks (wait, are using Triton tanks or just a Triton battery?) into bottles with tiny openings. You just need to be careful, and you will lose a tiny bit of juice in the process. The coil head should just screw off (if a Triton tank that's is)--if you remove that first, it's a bit easier to pour the liquid back into the bottle.

On PG and VG, with the understanding that I'm definitely no chemist. PG is very thin (almost water-like)--it helps to carry flavor, but doesn't have much flavor itself; it helps with throat hit, too. VG is VERY thick and has a slightly sweet taste--VG helps produce vaper and can mute flavors. It sounds to me like you're getting a big hit of PG--throat hit, no vapor (what about flavor?).

By all means, if all else fails, go back to the store. Halo liquids have a great reputation for quality, but, yes, they are more expensive. You don't have to limit yourself to Halo juices, though--any juice should work (although be warned that citrus and cinnamon flavors can destroy plastic tanks).

Guess I never thought about it that way. Could be the cause but it doesn't sound like it. I think if it isn't the battery or head it is prolly just bad or old juice.

Well i also have this most likely irrational fear of getting the liquid on my skin. I'm using 24mg/ml fluid and i feel like if i get it on my skin i'll absorb a .... load of nicotine. Is this a legitimate concern?

considering i drop some of this stuff into my eyeball for a quick hit....naww, you'll be fine.

the bigger concern is that some of the deeper colored juices can probably stain clothes too quick.

Go back to the shop. It might be 1 of 2 things. The liquid you bought is crap. Did you try a sample in the store through their device?

Second, you take a slow easy draw into the mouth at first. Don't pull it hard. Take the Triton with you, of course.

Halo Triton is excellent equipment, and their juices are superb.

btw, on their website, Halo is $17 for 30ml and $5 for 7ml during the 15% sale that is still on (as of Dec 5). (Normally $20 and $6)

Life is too short to be vaping crappy juice. Especially for a first timer. If I had to vape the stuff I bought in this one store, I would have thrown everything away and bought a pack of Winstons.

Yeah their liquid is crap. I'm gonna see if I can get my money back and I'll buy a bottle of halo just to start out, then i'll start ordering their liquid online.
