Yeah their liquid is crap. I'm gonna see if I can get my money back and I'll buy a bottle of halo just to start out, then i'll start ordering their liquid online.

You learn well, Grasshopper.

And if you have Automysophobia, latex gloves are your friend. Get a box from the auto parts store, the OB/GYN, or Subway.

Halo just started a new sale today. 10%off everything, free priority shipping over $75 spent.

Plus, you'll get a free 10ml of kringles curse! I'm using that now, and it's great.

the non halo liquid i bought is 80/20 PG VG so i don't think it has too much VG.

today is my first day vaping and i am noticing a scratchy/burning sensation in my throat and lungs, also a lot of mucus production. is this normal? will it subside once i get used to it?

assuming you were smoker before vaping, there can be a lot of side effects as your body detoxes some.

drink plenty of water, and if you do get uncomfortable vaping, take a break. no need to force it.

Technically, PG is an irritant (deliberately used to simulate "throat hit").

I don't know a lot of people that can handle an 80/20 mix; it's pretty harsh.

This is required reading, in any event. It has pre-answered all your questions.

Health effects of vaping and quitting smoking

Great Information Link

Here's a hint, I made it once, and I'll say it again. DON'T VAPE CRAP! At least for the first week, dude! Halo is high quality juice. Stick with the Halo.

There is stuff out there that you might try a little later. I have two bottles I got a while ago, and I have no idea what to do with them, cause it is just crap. One from China, who can't even be trusted to paint children's toys without lead, and one from a vape shop near Philly. Waste of money.

I'd rather try to vape Mobil-1

i brought it to the smoke shop and the guy tried it. it worked fine. i think i figured out what was wrong. i think the way i was holding it my fingers were covering the air holes. i'm an idiot, lol.

picked up a bottle of tribeca when i was there though. i tried that on my friends before i bought mine and i really liked it.

:facepalm::facepalm:

I'm really glad that you figured it out--yep, that would do it!

I did everything wrong when I started.
I got vapor's tongue my 2nd day of vaping :D
Anyway, there's a whole different technique to vaping, there's a stickie for the technique in the newbie forum, btw. Very slow, gentle pulls, so that the vapor is an enveloping warmth in your mouth. It's nothing like the action of pulling a drag off a cig. Allow for plenty of air to mix before you inhale. You don't have to inhale deeply. I think the vapor can kind of dry out your tissues (and I believe that includes your lungs), so that's why people recommend drinking plenty of water.

But, you don't have to inhale at all, if your chest is feeling tight and uncomfortable. You can hold the vapor in your mouth a while, and the nicotine will absorb there (and in your nose of you push vapor through there, or maybe french inhale). I know not inhaling isn't as satisfying, but you'll at least get the flavor, and most importantly, get the nicotine into your bloodstream, while adjusting to the experience of vaping.
