Things have changed in the week since I wrote the original review: it's gotten even better

Either through steeping or just because I've gotten used to the complex mix of flavorings, Southern Classic is even smoother than before. Also, I've started work again. Before I was always vaping and just switching up flavors. Now because of work, I went several hours without a vape, and hit Southern Classic first thing on a break -- an it was a vape-gasm

Southern Classic is definitely a keeper, and an extraordinary e-liquid. Yes, light on tobacco notes, but satisfying nonetheless.

Ugh, I'm vaping it right now and it reminds me of this moment I had going through our garage when I was around ten years old. Most things in the garage were leftover from my great grandfather. There was an ancient tin of gum turpentine that smelled just like this. It's simultaneously interesting and absolutely ridiculous.

Edited to add: For anyone who hasn't smelled gum turpentine, it smells a bit acidic, a little oily, and a little piney. Since this one was really old it didn't have as strong of an alcohol/abrasive smell.

Glad you guys liked it but I did not. While i love halo Tribeca the southern classic was horrible in my opinion. I threw it out and could not get the taste out of my clearomizer ,so I threw it out also. Just saying it's not for everyone. Definitely one of those you'll love or either hate

Sorry you didn't care for it, penrow. Yes, Southern Classic is one that needs some time to steep and to get to know.

Many get the medicinal notes at the beginning, but they do disappear and the juice transforms into a highly tasty e-liquid.

I don't know yet! I think I'm going to put it back in the bottle and leave it for another month. I let it steep for four days or so.

I've had my sample for a while but I just got around to uncorking it and taking a whiff last night. Yow... It doesn't smell like something I'd want to vape. I'll keep it around for a while and see if the aroma improves, but I'm apprehensive about this one.

It needs to air out overnight or 24 hours -- after that, it is fantastic! And each passing day it gets better.

Southern Classic takes a little extra time to blend and gel, but when it does, it is sort of liquor-like. And it smooths out nicely.

I know that feeling Luckily I received a 10ml sampler with my Halo Points Voodoo bottle which will help stretch it out some. But I've come to love it, even though there's barely any tobacco notes. But it's so darn tasty

Ehh for me it's okay, just not my flavor. I prefer Tribeca over Halo's new offering. But then again, while cloning the Beca i made something i like even better.

So I have 3 sample bottles of the Southern Classic, tried without steeping and it was horrible. Willing to try the steeping, but where do you guys put it to steep? The garage, backyard, neighbor's house... My God, the bottle has only been open for a few minutes and I need a freakin' gas mask

In the closet of my vaperoom. SC does have a strong smell fresh out of the bottle, but it does mellow after a couple days of open-air steeping. Wasn't sure about it when I first tried it, then loved it after a week. Ordered a 30ml bottle today. Definitely going in the daily rotation.

WOW, that's a huge turn around. I actually have a lot of Halo juice to steep. I think ended with sample packs that were rushed into the bottle before they were ready. My problem is, I almost want to put them in a closed box because of the smell... but won'that defeat the purpose?

I could smell it halfway across the house when I first opened it and it does linger more after vaping than other juices, but it calmed down considerably. Maybe it grew on me, but I love it now. 3.8 volts on a 2.2-2.4 ohm coil on a Triton VV hits the spot.

Unless the box is vacuum sealed, it will still get air and that's all that matters.

I have also read that some folks just open the bottle and squeeze the air out of the bottle a few times, shake'er up good... and let it sit.

I've got some of this steeping right now, but my first impressions so far from having tried it are not so great. I hope it mellows out as it steeps, but right now, it tastes like a combination of pink bubblegum and cotton candy flavors. Yuck. But then again, I don't like sweet flavors.

I just picked up the Torque 56 and I love love LOVE this one!!!!!! It tastes so much like actual cigarette tobacco to me, whereas most of the other "tobacco flavored" ones I've tried so far are actually more like pipe tobacco, and very sweet.

I suppose I should heed this advice as well. I'm fairly new to vaping -about 2 months now. When I tried the southern classic it was just way to strong and sickly sweet. I couldn't get the taste out of my vivi nova until I soaked it overnight in vinegar.

I think it mostly boils down to being impatient and wanting to explore new flavors(for me anyways).

That said, I'm more than willing to take the advice of someone far more knowledgeable and experienced than myself.

When I first came off analogs, I couldn't stand the sweet vapes. Just wanted a dry, grassy tobacco. Torque56 was surprisingly sweet to me But a few months later, my taste buds are cleared and working again, and the plain, authentic tobaccos are too dry and are hard to vape for long periods. Slowly my flavor profile changed, and I'm liking the sweeter RY4-styles and fruity vapes... although I still prefer a tobacco base.

If I had tried Voodoo or Southern Classic at the start (if they were available), I would have hated them. Now, I can't get enough of them
