Can you post a pic of the Otto Carver you got?
And if the resistance is flashing you are getting unregulated battery current.
Also, I got my V3 full from hyperion and 8 out of 8 attys wouldn't thread on much if at all, none would fire. I have seen quite a lot of people having problems with Hana 510s being too tight. All of these attys screw down and work perfectly on two ZNAs and every other PV I own.
I was lucky my 510 was actually straight, I can't believe how many Hana's 510s are noticeably to unacceptably crooked. What kind of 510s are they using? Clearly they have quality control issues. I mean, forgetting to out the anti-tamper stickers? I've seen that twice, I'm sure it's happened more than that.
For $250 I expect an APV to work out of the box. It also had a thin, inch long scratch on the door, down to bare metal. Provape or HOH would never allow a mod with a scratch like that to be sold as anything but a blemished factory second.
Clearly Hana has no concept of factory second, whatever blemishes or defects it has, out the door.
It took a week of calling and emailing to get Hana to even respond, another few days and emails to get the warranty form. Read about Hana taking 10 days to do simple repairs, not counting shipping.
Compare that to Hpuse Of Hybrids (ZNA) customer service where warranty issues are answered on the 2nd ring by the owner of the company, the guy who designed the APV. They fix and ship the day they get it.
I just couldn't trust Hana so I had to come up with a way to tap the 510 to fit standard attys. it wouldn't even fire a carto because it couldn't thread down far enough. Unacceptable for a $250 APV.
Looking back, I like the Hana in theory, but my experience with them has soured my enjoyment. I think if they had proper CS and more importantly QC, things would be different but as it stands, I think the Hana should be sold at $209.
