O.K. I can now tell you why I am asking about batteries. We are going to be carrying the Sneaky Pete mod's.

I am working out the details now with Pete. Because these will not be custom orders I want to carry them with one battery (we will sell the batteries as well) So Pete and I have narrowed it down to the 18350 or the 16340 (16340 = powerizers). So what does everyone think.

Oh and I am sure you can expect a SP/tank combo contest!

One question about the sneaky pete - Is it protected like the BP? I ask because the powerizers are unprotected.

You know sashwa that is a very good question and I should have thought about that before I put my powerizer battery in my sneaky pete! I am asking Pete right now. I didn't see anything about it being protect so my guess is no it is not.

... Our hurdle however is making people understand that even though this is glass it is durable. The insane concrete video (Totally Insane Phiniac Tank Concrete Test - Phiniac Glass) has not gotten enough views :p ...

It worked for me!

1) I like the idea of them being made of Pyrex - something that I know will not leach chemicals into my vape.

2) Watching the vids proved to me that they should be able to take any accidental falls .. and then some!

3) I said to myself .. "I like these guys - they're nuts!"

Ok ... the Powerizers are safe in a Buzz Pro because he has so much protection circuitry built into the BP! Mike does not reccomend they be used in any other mod!

from NotCigs ...

Powerizer Rcr123a 3.7 volt real 650 mah Buzz battery - notcigs.com

"Powerizer RCR123A 3.7 volt 650 Mah ( real 650 Mah tested ~!! )

These are an UN-PROTECTED battery , they are FINE to use in the Buzz Pro or Original Buzz for increased run times , All Notcigs Mods have built in protection for the device AND the battery

these are NOT recommended for un protected mods ! "

That being said I've never heard of anyone having a problem with them ... but I for one will not use them, not even in my BP's.

Yeah, I already knew that. I've had many a powerizer discussion with Mike. I just got so excited when I saw there was something else I can use my powerizers with, I totally forgot they were unprotected and plopped one in.

Someone told me that you only need to worry about protection if the batteries are stacked and the SP only uses one battery. I do not know if this is true or not, but you know what we work with glass not electronics, so we will either not offer a battery with the mod or offer a protected battery with it!

As for the powerizers and the BP, you should give it a try, I totally trust Mike and when he says it is safe I believe him. I get three days (or around 10ml of juice) from my BP with my powerizers.

There are two risks here, one is using an un-protected batt in an un-protected mod .. and .. the other is charging un-protected batteries.

If your charger ever has a malfunction you run a greater risk of having a fire or even mini explosion than you would with a top-shelf protected battery. No battery is totally 100% guaranteed safe (not even the safe chemistry ones) but AW is the most trusted, most reliable, most proven battery out there (nope, I don't work for AW).

I wish they cost less but they don't and batts are one thing I wouldn't want to try and save a buck on. I've never (in the short time I've been vaping) had a problem with any battery but I have seen photo's. Scarey Stuff.

Oh yeah, no doubt about it ... but I also asked Mike about powerizers in chargers and he laughed and said "you're on your own there".

Well I wouldn't use them in an uprotected mod, I pulled it out of my SP as soon as I read sashwa's post, smacked myself in my head and wondered what I was thinking, guess I wasn't. As for the charger I asked Mike about that and he said it was fine. I thinki t had something to do with the fact that the charger I got with the BP was a smart charger, but this is all so out of my area of knowledge!

Getting back to tanks ...

You can do initials?

:w00t:

Yup, we can do names and initals. We have a few "test" tanks with names on them in both print and script. I think the print looks better. We have gotten up to 8 letters but I think the less letters the better it looks.

Our problem is we don't know how to sell this type of custom request. If someone requests purple or hearts we are happy to do that as if the person who requests it doesn't like it, someone else will eventually by it (at least we hope). With the name tanks we would need to take money first, which I am totally not happy with as I do not not want to stick a customer with something they might not like. Glass is not an exact science, sometimes there is no telling exactly how something will come out. So if we proceed and you are not happy we get stuck with a tank and have to hope that someone with the same name or initials want a Pyrex tank from us. We need to give it more thought. I have some samples to take photos or more likely videos of and then you guys can chime in and let me know what you think!

I've never heard of anyone having a problem. And Mike is one of the good guys so if he felt there was a risk he wouldn't promote 'em!

:)

Yeah Mike is not only a good guy, but a smart one as well. I'm not worried about my own setup, but this all came up because I wanted to offer the powerizers with the SP, it is not protected so it is not going to happen.

Now I need to decide if I want to have the SP's for Phiniac made to support the 18350 or the 16340 ... I'm leaning towards the 18350 because if we go that way you can use the 16340 in there as well!

Then I have to decide if we want to carry batteries for it. If we do Mike has suggested the Trustfire WHITE or BLUE or the AW, so we will likely go in that direction!
