Yeah ... I see your point, may have to do something along the lines of 1/2 down (non-refundable) and 1/2 before shipping. Maybe do a line drawing of what it 'should' look like when completed for the customers approval. Interesting problem.

On the other hand ...

I bet you could do something really cool with:

"vZ" or "Zilla"

I think I'd be willing to take the risk that I'd be happy with it and commit $$ before hand.

... Now I need to decide if I want to have the SP's for Phiniac made to support the 18350 or the 16340 ... I'm leaning towards the 18350 because if we go that way you can use the 16340 in there as well!

Then I have to decide if we want to carry batteries for it. If we do Mike has suggested the Trustfire WHITE or BLUE or the AW, so we will likely go in that direction!

The Trustfires seem to be ok, I know James at KK recommends them as does Shan B. for her mods.

The smaller the form factor, the less capable are the Trustfires for providing the necessary amperage demanded by low resistance attys and cartos. Here is a very informative post that illustrates this with 14500 batteries.

You can't go wrong with AW IMR batteries in any size, but some customers get hung up on the mAh ratings, so I see why vendors would want to sell Trustfires. Just my :2c:

OK .. we have added some drip tips to the site. THESE ARE NOT PYREX (but the pyrex ones will be available by the end of the month or shortly after)

So this is what we have now. We have black plastic ones (currently only 8 in stock but more are on the way) and really cool silver aluminum square tips. These will look awesome with the aluminum caps when they arrive later this week. We only have one silver available but more should be here very soon (hopefully at about the same time as the aluminum caps show up!)

Cool thread, interesting/ important reading - thanks for the link Tripp!

When I first got into all of this my thinking was that if I was gonna hold something that had the potential to become a mini pipe-bomb 3" from my face then I was only going to use the best, safest batts I could find. Since then I have learned that fire (from a dropped, damaged or defective batt) is the more real danger.

But for me the bottom line remains the same, I'll spend a little extra for the best. I sleep better at night.
