I recognize one of those Phineers! To heck with stalking the mailman, I'm occupying the post office!

I just got my Phiniac Sandblasted feather design tank this week, it was my birthday gift to myself and the first time it shipped the label was damaged and it got returned to Phiniac, so it was a long time coming! :) I was so happy to finally receive it. I have NLV Bounty Hunter in the tank right now, and it was vaping great earlier but now it's just not wanting to wick from the tank to the carto. I have tried punching a second hole, doing primer puffs, letting some air into it, filling it higher, all to no avail. I have noticed on some primer puffs I tried that there were small bubbles coming from the holes I punched. I fixed those by letting some air into the tank but it hasn't solved the original issue.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so how would I go about fixing it?

Thanks :)

Edit: DOH! Just saw to post in the other thread, see ya's over there!

hello everyone. i have a question for tank users. i am a fan of the smoktech dcc lr cartos and like the convenience of the prepunched cartos offered by the brand. i know that the prepunched cartos have a propriety flange for use with the smoktech tanks. are the caps that come with the smoktech tanks able to be fitted onto a phiniac tank?
i compared the regular smoktech dcc with the refills, and noticed that the xl version (non propriety use) are 1-2 mm longer than the prepunched refills. if the cap is able to be fitted to a phiniac tank for use, is it more appropriate to use a tall boy tank, or an xl tank?
anyone have any experience with this? thanks.

Phiniac tanks have caps made especially for them and they are paired with the proper o-ring. I don't think you can use another cap. If there is too much pressure on the glass from the cap and o-ring the glass will develop stress fractures and break. Having said that, I have used the Smoktech pre-punched flanged cartos on the tallboy tank with the Phiniac caps. You don't need the smoktech caps. The flange goes right up to the bottom of the tank's cap and it works no problem. You insert the carto top end in first in through the bottom of the tank. The XL cartos stick out the top of a tallboy by about 5mm or so. If you like the cartos you can use them with a Phiniac tallboy tank as it comes.

excellent! thank you!
i'm sure i'm fully capable of punching my own cartos, but i really don't want an extra step with the potential of a decreased quality of use. it's very good to know they have caps for it. :)
although after just noticing the tank kit they're offering, it may not be a huge deal after all.

Punching your own cartos is easy. Also, I find for a lot of juices the prepunched hole on the Smoktech cartos is way too small. Some thicker juices need two holes punched to wick properly.

Thanks :)
I've been checking! I'll keep on it

Jennifer runs occasional sales for anywhere from 10% to 25% off. Usually around 15%. Also they are still tanks in the scratch and dent section for 35% and 50% off. Some are name tanks in perfect condition just not your name most likley for up to 50% off. There are nice handblown ones still available for 35% off that look very nice. You aren't going to get a Phiniac for a lower price anywhere. Most people love their tanks and aren't going to sell it for a blowout price. If anything, these are unique collector's items, and used ones will someday sell for well beyond the price paid new. Looking for a used deal is most likely going to result in a disappointed, fruitless effort.

Checking the classies will only work if you see a package you like or someone wants to trade for something you have. I have never seen a Phiniac go for less in the classies than the prices when they're on sale. Sign up to the email lists and/or watch for Moorea to post the discount codes when they release new designs and you will see lower prices than the classies ever reach. And if you get the chance to pick up something in the scratch & dent section to which jackbox linked you will get the lowest price Phins ever reach. It sucks that they cost so much when you're budgetally-challenged and really want one :(

But speaking as someone who saved up to get one, they really are worth every penny--and you can tell from the quality when you have it in your hand that Team Phiniac really isn't making much of a profit on these.
