50% is very feasible! Certainly better then a free tank from point of view!
Hmm, that isn't a bad idea both likes and random. Only problem with the random thing is I would have to close a thread. I know something will come to me.... Have no fear, we will have a contest soon. I just need to give it more thought.
OK, I am going to assume no one likes my new signature banner and that is why no one replied when I asked if they liked.
i like it where you are going just need to pop more, a colored back ground maybe?

Yes a colored background would make it pop! Problem is with the photos of the tank, they are glass and there for see through. While I can knock the background around them, I can not knock out the background behind them. We have been taking pictures of the tanks on a black background, because the black does the colors in the tank more justice. I actually changed the background in my light box to white and took some tank photos just for the banner. So I can't do a different color background on those photos... I do have a red background, so maybe tomorrow!
That really keeps hope alive... But can you make the white tiger colors swirled around the tank just like this one, or maybe just go crazy with white & black stripes all over the places:

I don't care for the who gets the most likes contests either. It doesn't seem as fair as random.org...especially if someone is a brand new ECF member and hasn't had time to get to know anyone.
But the love themed contest sounds like fun and it's a good way to get to know each other better. Another idea is a valentine related picture(maybe a funny one)and the contest could be to think up a caption for it....just a thought.

I'm baccccckk. I finally got me a trippy tip! .....does happy dance. Since my Orion will be in for repairs and it'll probably take a month at least before I get it back, I needed a tip for my phiniac tank. Still waiting for phiniac tips. I know ya'll will have a tip that will match my tank better but until then I will have a tip.

That trippy sale became a big fiasco, doubt I will ever attempt one again.

I wasn't that hppy with the like thing either, my biggest worry was that no one would like anything in hopes they would win.
Maybe this contest should just be one to come up with the best contest idea... the one we use will get a prize!

Error msgs at check out, site crashing etc. It took me like forever to checkout.......since my memory is so bad I forgot how to refresh the page, but refreshing the page actually brought my checkout page back......had to do it like 3 times to finally checkout though. I hope they get that fixed for their next sale though. I tried several times to get a lava tank and finally gave up. I almost gave up on the trippyh since my first time but dang nab it I wanted one for my tank set up so I could be all glass.
Site crashed repeatedly with an error code that said too many connections and by the time I got through everything was sold.
