Handling Juice

How dangerous is the juice?
When checking a cartridge, or putting a dropper on a new bottle, I sometimes get it on my fingers.
I always make sure I wash my hands, but do I need to do it immediately, or is it no big deal?

Really depends on the nic level. Most of the time it doesn't matter unless you DIY e-liquid and deal with nic that's 48mg and stronger. But, it's always a good practice to wash your hands immediately.

I have another question.
If some gets on the cartridge, is wiping it off with a paper towel or on your shirt good enough to clean it off and make it safe?

The best practice is to wash it off just to be on the safe side. Now with that said I do plenty of wiping off with shirt and with paper towels.

If you don't wash your hands then touch your face or rub your eye you can get dry scaly irritated patches or an irritated eye or eyelid. Nicotine is a skin irritant. Your fingertips are thicker and harder to irritate but other body parts you touch may be much more sensitive to it.

I've licked a speck of juice off my lips 100's of times vaping 18 and 24mg. I don't suggest it. It doesn't taste great but what's a girl to do when I don't have a tissue? I haven't had ill effects from it.

At home I'm careful about juice on my hands and clothes. I'm constantly picking up a tennis ball for our Golden or a toy for another furry family member and the little ones are in my lap. I don't want them exposed to liquids with nic.

I DIY and get juice (including 48mg nic juice) on my hands all the time. Just wash your hands and you'll be fine. Don't rub your eyes if you haven't washed your hands because it burns like crazy! Wiping off spills with a paper towel or your shirt is fine. I've had my tank leak a bit and had to use my T-shirt to wipe it off a few times. No big deal.

Been there, done that and it really, really sucked. It was even worse than rubbing my eye after getting juice on my hands!

Seriously, just keep it from the kiddies and pets. Treat it as you would jalapenos...

I spilled 100mg on me once. I'm still upright and vertical. Just use common sense but I don't think you need to panick. Wash your hands and keep it away from kids/pets. It actually has a slow absorption rate when it comes in contact with your skin.

I cannot stress enough the caution about the eyes - I got a tiny splash ( I don't even remember how it happened ) in one eye and thought I had gone blind. It kinda burns. Flush with lots and lots of water!

I'm pretty lax with my juice handling. At first I took a lot of care to avoid getting juice on things and wiping everything down when I had a leak, washing my hands all the time... now I just wipe it off on my jeans and keep vaping. The exception is when I get juice in my mouth -- that's always unpleasant.

So far i have been fine as far as getting it on my hands. Just make sure you wash them.

I agree to be careful if you get it on your hands. Wash and don't touch your eyes!

An occasional leak in your mouth will burn your tongue, but it's not a big deal. I wash my hands after handling 24mg. You are bound to get some on your fingers from time to time, but it's just a part of filling carts and cartos.

What not to do....I was sitting happy refilling some carts, 3mL sample bottles for travel,
and had 10mL bottles of 30mg open with the drip tips off. I was carefully screwing
on all the child-proof top to keep from spilling. My mistake, dripping at the same time
as filling, , took a 20mL bottle unscrewed the top and without the drip tip on the bottle
dumped it into my atty, and on my hands, down my forearms.......

My first thought was "how am I going to get it back in the bottle!"
It then dawned on me to wash it off, (slow learner), upside was I didn't crave an
analog or vaping for a couple hours..... but no ill effects.

I can't count how many times I've gotten juice in my mouth. If I don't have a paper towel handy I just wipe it off with my hand and then wipe my hand off on my shirt or pants. Just don't swallow it.

Eh, well if I get a little on my hands, I either wipe it off or lick it off. I vape 24mg juice (cinnamon even) and it doesn't burn or cause any problems. I am from Texas though and we like hot things.
