I have been vaping for about 6 weeks now without even one cig after 40 years of smoking. I have 2 eleaf isticks tc40 and I use them with a Aspire K1. I have them set and locked at 10W. I am very happy with them. I am a MTL vaper and I don´t need anything else. They don´t flood and that´s it.

I have been advised with the coming regs. I should get something exchangeable batteries and I can see the reasoning in that. The problem is I don´t need something that will go up to 200W and vap out a dance club when I am just going to put on the Aspire K1 and leave it a 10 W

Any thoughts?

There are a lot of different thoughts on this. Personally I took the safe road and stocked up. If you really like the istick theres no reason you cant have a few and just rotate them. They should last a few years. If your looking to get something that has replaceable batteries I would suggest either of these.
Reuleaux RX75 Mod & Kit by Wismec $29.99
eVic VTwo Mini $34.99 by JoyeTech - Box MODS - MOD / PV'S
iStick Pico Kit by Eleaf $29.99 - Box MODS - MOD / PV'S
The evic mini has been a very good little mod for me. Close in size to the 40

Lots of small(ish) box mods would fit that, @Dan40.

If you like that brand, the Eleaf PIco might be a good choice, single 18650.

Slightly bigger would be the Wismec Pressa 75TC, the Cloupor Mini+, and, while heavier, the Ola X Hero 30.

Don't be put off by mods with higher power maximums, as long as they'll perform well at the low end. (All those I mentioned do, I use them all and am typically around 8.5 watts ;) )

Having room at the top (well, yeah, LOTS of room!) gives you two things - ability to go there if you want, and you're never stressing the electronics, so they may last longer. (And getting a mech or two as final backup is also a good idea, since all electronics may eventually fail.)

only using 10w go with something cheap. KBOX 40W should be under $40 everywhere. Or look into mech mod for $10... shouldn't be dangerous with a K1 lol. Be hard to go over 20A, mine runs about 2A.

I agree.
If you are serious about protecting your vaping (and believe mods are in the firing line), you are going to need a few back-ups for even the most proven mods.
I have 2 x Siglelei mechs and a battered old Nemesis for the apocalypse.

Hun, I'm sure your car is capable of going 120+ mps, you don't drive that fast do you? Just because a device is capable of 200+ watts doesn't mean you have to run it at full power. I'd say most high watt capability mods work just fine at lower watts too. You're just going to get stellar battery life if you use less power.

Same with rebuildable dripping attys and tanks (which with the comming regs, you should look into as well). You can build any way that suits your fancy. You don't have to do any crazy super low ohm builds. You can keep your build above 1 ohm if you like, choke off your airflow, and you'll have something suited to the way you vape. Basic coils are pretty darn easy to make too. Especially if you pick up a coil wrapping kit.

The Provari 2.5 specials are a good deal. They are made to last and the 18650 maxing the 15w, a charge will still last a long time. They are very well built.

Also, the SVD 2.0 (20w and evolve chip) is $19.99 at Madvapes.

Really, what will last would be a squonker. Basically, its mechanical. Minimal parts to go bad.

BTW, Does the Aspire K1 take manufactured coils? They will be controlled. Have you considered an RTA? That one K1, will it, by itself last?

The SVD 2.0 and a Kayfun Lite + V2...several of them...

I would not eliminate a mod just because it "goes up to" 100, 150, or 200 watts. If it fits all your other desires and will fire at your 10 watts, what's not to like about amazingly long battery life? And as a bonus, you in effect are carrying an "extra battery just in case" on board instead of in a case in your pocket or purse. I have a couple 200 watt mods, but never approach 100 watts......and regularly use it at about 28 watts and can go out all day with no worry at all if it will make it through the day. May actually make it through 2 days.....and I like that.
