Tracy, summer is the rainy season in Fl. The best time of year to visit is either late fall or late winter, depending on what part of Fl you want to see. I lived just north of Clearwater (on the gulf side) for about 6 years and then in Jacksonville (Atlantic side just by the Georgia border) for another 6 years.

Agreed 5C! I lived just SW of Dallas/Ft. Worth for 17 years, and 100 degree days there were easier than 85 in Florida's humidity.

Howdy all! Again I know it is horrible that so many days go by before I pop in. I used to be a regular around here. Funny thing is, it never feels that long until I notice I am reading post from 3 - 5 days ago! And I do miss you all!

I hope everyone had a wonderful easter weekend.

Well, good morning Moo!! Always great to see ya girlfriend. Today is the last day of school for my dd, then spring break for 11 days! Woot woot! It will be nice not to set an alarm for 5:15 am for a bit. I love sleep! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Will be coloring eggs at the end of the week, and anticipating the arrival of the Easter bunny. :) Miss Madison is pretty excited! Hope you all have a nice Easter!!!

My kids went back to school on 4/2! Not only did we get to sleep in for the week they were off, but my mom took them to Canada, so Chris and I had the house to ourselves for 6 days!!!

Hey Moo! Being busy isn't all bad...it means your tanks are a super hit!! Yes'am, got the dentist outa the way, and got my eyeballs checked out yesterday. I've worn glasses all my life so I was overdue. A script change, new glasses should be ready in about a week.

Since I don't get HBO I had to "backdoor" Game of Thrones season premiere, I promise I won't spill the beans tho ;) Took me half the show to remember which side half the folks are on tho LOL.

Oh Tracy, I hope for you 11 solid days of blissfully late sleeping!

I need to go to the eye doctor. I have never had vision problems, but it seems that some where in the last few months my arms have reached their stretch limit and I can no longer holds things far enough away from my face to read them!

Being so short, my arms aren't long, so my eye site might not have gotten as bad as I think, but it is still an issue that NEEDS to be addressed!

I still haven't watched the season premiere of GOT. I might just do that after I finish this post.

Bov,

Bo's eyes were never treated and he now has 20/400 vision in one eye, or in other words practically blind in that eye. He has adapted to it, never knowing any different.

I noticed Maddie's eye beginning to cross when she was about 10 months old, was perfect up until then. The doc said when one eye is looking at one object and the other is looking at another, the brain will shut off sight to one eye which makes sense (unless you are a fly!) and without treatment that's exactly what would have happened to my baby girl. So glad I caught it early!!!

Chris has been deaf in one ear for about 10 years now, he also started graying in his late 20's early thirties (of course he is a guy and looks good on him) So in fun I tease him about how he is aging (as he is 3 years younger then me) so I am worried about the pay back I will get when I need the glass. Really had nothing to do with your post, but I read the 20/400 vision and it made me think of being deaf in one ear.

Awesome that you caught it at such a young age, it is so easy to miss things that.

I "was" 20/20 all my life but "now" require those reading glasses to see anything close up. Plthhhhh! Getting old s*cks!

Don't tell me it is that bad Fran, I was working myself up for the appointment and the hell I will pay when I get home from the hubby. Your comment set me back... now i don't want to go again. I am determined if I am going to get glasses to get nice ones!

Stared watching Season 6 of SuperNatural tonight. So many others have beed mentioned but they are so many pages back. So I'll ask again-----what's good in action series.

Season 6... sounds like you are enjoying it, although with my delayed response you are probably caught up!

Yeah me to 5c.

Bov I must say that Florida does not interest me at all. Too damn hot. I love nice warm weather but hot (up around 90 or more) I don't like at all.

Lived in S. Florida for 10 years. Hated it. I never adjusted to the heat. Everyone told me for years I would adjust soon and it never happened. Even though it was still snowing here yesterday, I will take our weather over that heat any day! There is only so much clothes you can take off until you are standing outside totally naked and still hot. Here if I dress properly outside or bundle in enough blankets inside I can get warm!

I am going to go watch game of thrones. I promise I will not wait so long to pop in again as I really do miss you guys when I am not posting. Time just seems to be getting away from me!
