Yeah, get yourself some "protank II's" and a few "aerotank replacement bases". The provari can be a little, how can i say, fickle when it comes to protanks. Plenty of people find themselves having to shell out on adapters because there is a lack of ventilation when these two are connected. The "Aerotank airflow controller" has vents in the side, rather than the bottom, so ventilation can be adjusted manually just by opening or closing the valve. You could just buy an Aerotank or two but you'll have to decide whether you want dual coil from the aerotank or just a single coil from the protank II.

Protank I - single coil device - cannot be dismantled, only the base is removable.
Protank II -single coil device - can be dismantled into it's component parts. Useful for cleaning.
Protank III - dual coil device - can be dismantled into it's component parts.
Aerotank - dual coil device includes "airflow controller base". Can be dismantled into it's component parts.

So you see the first two models have a single coil. The third and fourth are dual coil devices. If you only want single coil get a Protank II. Some people say they have problems with the coupling of the Provari and a Protank. An equal amount of people say otherwise. But with the "Aerotank airflow controller base" you wouldn't have that problem and you can adjust the ventilation to suit your vaping needs.

Live long and vape on !. :)

edlyle I am a work in progress at this time. I am just agreeing with the OP that it is really hard to quit smoking.

Oh; I think I left the tone too open on that question.

I really actually was asking you what ecigarette have you tried so far; perhaps you have not tried any as yet?

Pretty sure you could vape a carto tank in zero G. :p

If you're still touching the analogues I'd recommend picking up a bottle of higher nic juice as others have said. Suck on that for a few minutes when the thought of an analog enters your mind. The aspect I had the most trouble with is that vaping is not as immediate a fix as smoking an analog is. When the cravings start there is no super quick fix that won't set you back to old habits.

Oh and,welcome aboard!

Thanks for the reply... and the "WELCOME". It's great to be here!!
You're RIGHT! I just ordered a fresh 12 mg supply too :( Next time 'round... I'm gonna get me some 18 mg!

I was a heavy duty smoker, as well. Minimum 2 packs a day. Your story reminds me of me in some ways. I cut back but it wasn't until I finally bought the Provari and I got carto tanks that I managed to totally quit. In your case, it sounds imperative that you quit sooner than later. You should be really proud of yourself for getting down to just a few cigs a week!!!!! I think a great device and good carto/tanks will get you over the hump.

Here is my favorite:

https://www.thevaporbarstore.com/?product=economy-tanks

I like that you can unscrew the doodad and refill without trying to pop the tank up. I use Smoketek single coil, double punched cartos.

Single Coil XL Tank replacement 510 cartomizer for 3.5 and 6ml SmokTank XL, UDCT, Artemas - w/flange and 1, 2 or 3 holes.

One caveat - I used to buy this tank from another place but that guy went out of business due to health reasons. Seemed like such a nice person, he made sure to get his product to another company and I haven't dealt with them before. I did email them and they emailed back promptly which bodes well for customer service.

I like the larger size since you do usually want to refill before it gets too low or it can leak.

Thanks for the reply my friend...
I'm really torn between the "Provari" (Big $$$) and either the "iTaste SVD" or "Sigelei Zmax" (Moderate $$$)
Carto tanks are definitely the direction I'm heading... and have a couple in mind, depending on the Mod. Will keep everyone posted once I settle down a bit! :)

Just chiming in to agree with what others have said. Carto tanks are a great low maintenance choice. Just make sure the carto is primed well before firing it. I also like the bottom coils like the Protank, Davide, etc. alot, although the cheaper NBC is actually my favorite at the moment.

Have you had a look at the "Aspire Nautilus"? I think I've found my new "Moderate Priced" Carto!! :)

Greetings Allen, 30ml a day... When i first read that it made me LOL out loud, i was like: "Holy cow this guy vapes alot". Then i did the math, thats a little over 4ml a day and i was like heck, i vape about that much but im on 24mg per ml. So for as much nicotine as your used too, id say up the anty! Get yourself some 24mg and try it. If your completely content with the amount you vape and the nicotine your recieving then stick with it! Otherwise, it wouldnt hurt to try some 24!

I dunno my friend... 12 to 24 seems like a pretty big jump. I'm definitely goin' up... but my next batch is gonna be 18mg fer sure! ;)
Baby steps for me... til I learn to run with the big boys!!

First, welcome! Second, sounds like maybe you should get your liquid with more nicotine, 12mg is fairly low. Third, IBTanked seem like the go-to cartotanks. Or the new Aero Tank from Kanger looks nice if you want a bottom coil design, but with the Provari I think a nice cartotank would serve you better. Artemas tanks aren't very expensive on a place like MadVapes if IBTanked seems a bit pricey.

Thanks for the reply. Had a look at the IBTanked units, mmm... nah! Maybe the AeroTank. Thumbs up (for me) goes to the Aspire Nautilus, for a moderately priced carto!!

Welcome Doc. 3 packs a day is a lot. With the savings, you should be able to get a nuclear powered vape machine. You may have to travel to Iran tho to get fuel to power it.

Congrats and glad you stopped!

 You too funny fo me!!

Actually, my wife and I were just discussing that very thought this morning. For what I've spent on trying to kill myself... I could have bought an apartment block!! Well... at least a house or two anyway :(

Welcome, Doc. My name is Allan. Don't see that spelling very often. (well there is Edgar Allan Poe)

I was 40 year 3 pad smoker and I vape constantly as well. 30 mil a week is not unusual. That's only a little over 4 mil per day and is probably less than many here. I go thru 7-8 mil per day of 7.5mg.

Hey Allan... (great name by the way) :)
I'm looking at your user id... please tell me Grimwald is not your last name. If it is... this could get a little "Spooky"!!

Greetings Fellow Vapers...

As I type this, I'm leisurely puffing away on my new mod setup! :) After taking everyone's suggestions to heart (I really am a good listener... and a fast learner), I finally decided on the components to bring me to my vaping bliss!! I still can't believe my good fortune, locating a 1st class vendor right here in Winnipeg! My sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to Jim from VapeTastic (Vapetastic | Vapetastic Electronic Cigarettes).
I spoke with Jim earlier today, after checking out his website. He had EVERYTHING I wanted ... IN STOCK!! He even guaranteed he would deliver my stuff right to my front door himself, by tonight! SHUT DA FRONT DOOR!!! Now THAT is what I call "Customer Service!" Kudos to you my friend. You now have a customer for life!
So anyway, here's what I am now the proud owner of:
- Innokin iTaste SVD
- Aspire Nautilus Adjustable Airflow tank system
- 5-Pack of extra Nautilus atomizers
- NiteCore i4 battery charger
- eFest 2100 mah 18650 batteries (2)

I can not, for the life of me, believe the difference in taste, vapor and throat hit after coming from an eGo C!! I have no doubt I made the right choices. Thanks to everyone who contributed any input toward my decision. I am now, a truly happy vaper :p

See y'all at the Legion on February 1st. Till then... Keep On Vapin'

Well, I own a ProVari and a Sigelei mini stainless steel Zmax. I can tell you honestly that I reach for my Twists, Spinners and the Zmax more often than I reach for my ProVari nowadays. You see, ProVari comes with a 510 connection only, so I can only use my 510 threaded toppers with it (adapters are a PITA). It's a great mod and I will hang on to it, but honestly, it's showing its age. When I bought it, it was the best and the most reliable regulated mod on the market. But that was some time ago. Now, it's still the most reliable, but the technology needs to be updated, IMO--others will disagree. ;)

I think that Sigelei Zmax, Innokin MVP and SVD are much more user friendly--if not as rock solid as the old girl. :D

So, if you're going to get a battery with a dual 510/eGo connection, you can use almost anything on them. You also get the variable power mode, which is nice, if not absolutely necessary.

I use (and like) anything by Kanger from their BCC lineup or the Aspire--I have the glass eGo-threaded version and I love it. Carto tanks are nice also, but they require some fiddling, at least initially, to get them to operate properly. If you like cartomizers, you will love carto tanks. if you don't, stick to the new tanks I (and others) recommended above.

Good luck and happy vaping.

Thanks for the info Katya. Yes, I have heard the Provari needs to catch up with technology!

I have finally settled on the components for my new setup...
- Innokin iTaste SVD
- Aspire Nautilus Adjustable Airflow tank system
- 5-Pack of extra Nautilus atomizers
- NiteCore i4 battery charger
- eFest 2100 mah 18650 batteries (2)

Hey Doc! How do you like that Nautilus? I have a little Aspire ET-S (eGo-threaded glass version) and I like it a lot, but I'm hearing that the Nautilus has somewhat different coils--larger? Anyway, I almost got one but the size scares me. I have small APVs (both are minis) and I just can't imagine myself with that massive, heavy 5ml tank... I'm quietly hoping for a min Nautilus (19mm diameter, 2.5ml or so). :D

But I'm very curious about that tank and how it performs.

And congrats again.
