If by "80/20" you mean 80% PG and 20%VG I would not be surprised that there is some throat hit. PG has more throat hit than VG. You might try moving the ratio to more VG until it is where you like it. (you can also try vaping a few drops of the PG by itself, and then VG by itself and see how each effects your throat hit)
If your TFA Bubblegum is their "Bubblegum (fruity)"; that has Ethyl Alcohol in it and that will add throat hit. you can reduce that by leaving the top off the bottle until the alcohol evaporates.
I agree with your assumption that 3mg nic should not add much in the way of TH.

80VG and just the regular TFA bubblegum, its been steeping for about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks as of now, gave it a warm water bath right after i mixed too.
I thought it might have been the nic going off a little but at 3mg it shouldn't really add TH even if that is the case right?

Well, it sounds like I'm absolutely no use then. Huh? :D:lol: I tried...

I wouldn't think so; unless you happened to be REALLY sensitive to it. And if that was the case I would think you would have had other similar incidents before now. I'm honestly stumped.
You could still try letting it breathe for a 3-4 hours and see if it makes any difference.
Other than that, the only thing I can think of is to start working through all your ingredients one at a time. Try your PG and VG by themselves. Then if they are OK, make an unflavored base at your regular ratio (20%PG/80%VG/3mg./mL nic) and vape test that. If that still doesn't reveal the offending culprit; add one flavor at a time and vape test after each one until you know which one is raining on your parade.

If you figure it out; I would love to know... I am obviously not done learning yet!! :D

Do I get a participation sticker? ;) I know a lot of folks here are smarter than me. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a better idea than mine.
I hope you figure it out.
Best wishes!:D

You get a big A for Awesome! :)

Q's for OP...What's your equipment, wattage, etc, and what brand of nic are you using? Your mix itself doesn't give any indication of potential harshness.

I'd try running the liquid through another atty to see if the harshness persists. If it's still harsh, I'd put my money on a mixing mistake (too much nic). Mix another batch and compare. If it's not harsh, something's likely amiss in your build.

Occasionally I experience harshness when I lose patience and try to vape liquid fresh off the scale, especially if that liquid happens to use Super Concentrates flavoring. That stuff can be mad harsh when it's freshly mixed, even at my 70/30 3mg default. More rarely, it's just me, perceiving harshness where there is none, probably after vaping more than I should.

Run it through both a dripper running dual claptons 0.3 at 65 watts and my limitless plus rdta with a twisted 26 build 0.26@70 watts.
using nic from F and S ecig, a UK based company, never really had issues with their nic before. also mixed up 3 different batches at the same time, using a syringe to measure nic really not idea whats going on

edit: mods are an rx2/3 and a kbox200
