Just when I said my local guys are alright the carrier stopped coming down my street for two days. I know this because my red flag is up so they can collect the .20 cents I owed for a letter the VA sent me on Tuesday.

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"...uuh most the time? I think something is going on. I'm calling my state rep...wait no, he wants to sell the post office off for profit...I'll call my US senator...wait, he wants to shut 'em down too. Well the Gov has to ca...ah crap. Brandstad is to busy trying on ladies' knickers to care.

Has ANYONE noticed the news of late? Snowstorm on top of snowstorm on top of snowstorm?

Oh no. It couldn't possibly contribute to the long delays plaguing FedEx and UPS .... the USPS is immune, huh?

Is there no logic in this day and age?

Senile Old Man Don ............ The "news"? "What is this "news" of which you mutter old man?".

LOL "2 day only took 4 days." That just highlights how USPS works! I ordered some vape mail Sunday and I was happy to see my tracking said it had arrived early Tuesday morning to the sort facility by me. Unfortunately it took another day to get to me a few miles away. So it took as long to get a few towns over as it did to get a few states over.... must have just missed the truck.

A package I ordered was sent to the wrong city where it sat for 5 days before usps touched it.

My last vape mail got to my city 2 days after I ordered THEN went to a city 200 miles away where it sat for two days then BACK to my city and I got it 2 days after that.

I just tell myself it's steeping time. Sigh.

USPS works fine for me. Even First Class Mail packages will only take a couple nights to arrive in my town and be delivered the next morning. Realized I had been paying $4 extra to receive Priority Mail shipping and they both get here in the same amount of time haha. Shipment tracking is a godsend as well. Nothing worse than waiting days and days for a package to arrive, not knowing its location.

You know....yes there are some snafus, but from where I stand here across the big pond, some of you guys in the continental US seem a bit spoiled since you have it so good. For me, USPS is practically the only game in town; using FedEx or UPS to Hawaii is prohibitively expensive. (There is no such thing as "Ground" transportation over the Pacific Ocean.)

To me, USPS is pretty fast, especially when compared to days gone by when many things came by boat!

Plan your orders so that they're scheduled to arrive a few days before you need them. Then sit down, take your shoes off, relax, take a deep breath and have a vape. :)

Waiting on my Zamplebox... Mail was not delivered yesterday (have a letter that should be here any time now) and was expecting the zamplebox today. In a house that gets tons of junk mail daily... I'm shocked to not have any mail yesterday or today. In fact, my zamplebox package has been out for delivery since 8:34 this morning and it is now 5:24. I live less than a mile from the post office and in a small town. Mail always gets to my place by noon (even with packages). It does not even look like a single house has gotten mail in the past two days. Kind of annoyed right now USPS.

OT, but how is the Zamplebox thing working out for you?
