Damn USPS.

I'm just getting started. Made my first orders from multiple vendors in different parts of the country. My largest purchase (the actual e-cigs) is from a vendor based in California and was sent priority mail. I should mention that I live in Portland, Oregon.

Opened my mailbox today and was very excited to see a couple of packages sent first class mail. Needless to say I got a bunch of juices and some atomizers. But, no e-cigs. I'm totally bummed.

Checked the tracking when I got inside the house and wouldn't you know it....... stupid package is still sitting in sorting down in San Diego. Was sent on Monday the same time as all the other packages.

Why is regular first class mail faster than "Priority Mail"?

Means the USPS is expecting it, but has not entered it into their system yet.

USPS usually enters it after it clears customs and then tracking shows up normally. I've had one that showed up at the door a day before the USPS got around to entering into their system.

O.K. Geez... 7 days and it still says "Preparing to post " I know its coming from Poland, but .... any one know about international shipping ?

Does Romania count? Or China?

Yeah, the Preparing to Post can last from 4-14 days as an average. Good news is that once it does post, it moves quickly. Generally makes it from NY to Indy in a day. (I'm assuming that a Europe package goes to NY like mine have in the past, but who knows with all the sorting sites being shut down by USPS?)

OH
This thread is so unfair!

Since I started vaping (>2 months), I used only the cheapest option for shipping - which usually was USPS first class or flat rate box. I never had major delays - all my shipments came within 7 workdays, most of them within 3. A lot of times the "tracker" website was wrong, but hey... it's all cool when it shows that it's still in "sorting" when you have already received it a day before.

This Sunday, I ordered stuff from five different vendors. Four of the shipments arrived today. How can I complain? I paid <5 dollars for each shipment. However the fifth vendor only had UPS as an option, for $15. You guessed it, the UPS one is not here, and not likely to arrive before next Tuesday! They actually have a green bar showing that they are "on time". I'm literally paying extra just for their profit, no benefit for me.

For the price, you can't beat USPS. That's why they're bankrupt, sure, but I'm going to miss them when they're gone. I find much of the hate completely out of touch - they serve the entire country, for pennies, and with unthinkable reliability, albeit not consistency.

Yeah my postman delivers to my house 6 days a week between 11 and 2, and normally shipping costs next to nothing for an almost guaranteed 2-5 day delivery.

Servicing 100 million address for next to nothing is pretty impressive, sure I've had things lost or late but 3736 out of 3744* ain't a bad deal... its not far from being a 6 sigma operation in my experience.

*count as per:
6 days a week delivery
living at my address over 12 years but understanding holidays happen
and have only lost 2 things and I guess 6ish that were 5+ days late (that I remember anyway)

I just realize that Google chrome recognizes "ain't" as a viable word in the English language :p
