I noticed it as well. I just wasn't sure if more commercials were actually airing or if I have become more aware of the commercials.

Before I started vaping I would tune out those commercials because I wasn't interested in quitting analogs. Now, that I have quit, I seem to be paying more attention to that type of advertisement.

Yah, I have noticed. I haven't seen so many of them before! (Why are they upping their advertising, I wonder??) I find them rather offensive considering what the success rate is for Nicorette! I wish, in my dreams, that a person vaping could walk up to the blonde in the commercial and get into a debate with her...I know, I know, VPs are not supposed to be a smoking cessation device, but, gee...it worked better than I thought! I quit smoking completely because I like my EVO better than a real tobacco cigarette. True! Just got some yummy TW Peach, too, that I love! Nicorette sucks.

I haven't been using the TV nearly as much now that I watch hulu on my computer. But even hulu has a ton of "smoking kills" commercials.

Here in NY, there's a program that's free provided to state residents where they offer free patches, gum, lozenges, etc...

But yeah, definitely noticing a more aggressive ad campaign for stopping smokers. Heck, there's even more billboards around the city than I've ever noticed...

One thing I noticed while watching one of the nicorette commercials. The actor is describing how after a week on the gum he still wants a cigarette but now he doesn't "have" to have one.

I remember thinking, "after a week using my e-cig, I don't even want a cigarette anymore"

Too bad we can't afford to run an ad campaign.

that is soo true...NY must have the most anti-smoking commercials...you cant go 10 minutes watching OTA channels and not see one anti-smoking ad

The main reason we're seeing more commercials is not as much e-cigs. it's mainly the pharmaceutical industry is taking advantage of the high tax increase on cigarettes. with the economy the way it is, they know people will be looking for alternatives instead of paying the high price for a pack of cigarettes.
The majority of smokers still do not know that e-cigarettes even exist. Most people stumble on e-cigarette by accident.
That's why there is so much pressure on e-cigarette now, the pharmaceutical industry and tobacco industry do not want them in the public eye.
Just imagine what would happen if you started seeing commercials about e-cigarette's.
e-cigarettes is gaining popularity rapidly without advertisement and putting a dent in the pocketbooks of the pharmaceutical and tobacco industry. They definitely do not want advertising to create a wildfire.
