CLR, Lime-Away or Polident to clean their atty?

CLR might be a bit harsh for electronics. It is meant to remove lime buildup only. Unless you are using hard water to dilute your juices (use distilled), there should be no lime, and I don't know what it does to NiCr coils or adhesives. Not recommended.

Kristin, a vet here, uses denture cleaning tablets, just soaks the atty like dentures, overnight or longer, then water washes them. She has had good success with it.

I personally use for my 510 attys Crest Health-Pro, about a 10 minute soak, followed by lots of hot water flushing, with good results.

Some boil the atty in distilled water with good results. Some use PGA or vodka, but I don't recommend that, since alcohol can dissolve adhesives. Rubbing alcohol would do the same thing.

To be honest, the thing that I've found that keeps attys clear is simply using a true 3.7V PV. My Bartleby with a 14500 batt gives about 0.6V on the coil higher than a regular 510 batt. This makes clogs virtually none existent, since the higher wattage creates more heat from the coil. Since getting the Bart, I've all but stopped having to clean my attys. And they last longer too. Cleaning may open them up again, but it does shorten their lives some too.
