I don't know about shimmying it but I actually used a hammer and a screwdriver with a flat square end. A couple of pops and it's working great! I must say that the Grimm logo looks a lot better than I thought it would. Thanks Grimm. Also, the button is fantastic. It has a very short throw and is easy to press (unlike some mods I read about that end up leaving an indentation in your finger!)
As far as Steve and Casey go, that's why I buy from Puresmoker. Every mod has issues at some point. What separates Puresmoker from the rest is their response time and how much they care about their customers. Damn, I'm feeling very warm and fuzzy with my new Prodigy!

*ponders* Wondering what kind of reception I would be met with If I drove the 250 -ish miles to pick up my toy... Since I am still waiting on shipping confirm. LOL. I know you guys are working hard to get all the orders shipped and I appreciate your dedication, but when it comes to me and new shiney toys, it is the same as Hammy (from Over the Hedge) and cookies...

lol ... not too much tongue tingling ;) I have started lengthening posts here just a few thousandths. I know you said you tried the tapping of the center post ... Lets try it again, but this time, use you thumb and forefinger on the sides of the adapter to judge how far down the center post is actually moving.

So, flip it over. Find something smaller than the center post (on the battery end) Make sure you do this on concrete (with a papertowel covering it) Wood desks, etc... really don't help. Concrete is best I have found in my approach :) Next, whatever tool you use, grasp with forefinger and thumb, and slide your fingers down so they rest on the outside of the adapter. Next, start tapping. You should slowly feel the tool you are using go down. Do this 4-5 times, stop, test with Prodigy. Slow but sure is key ... Once there, you should be set.

Do these get tested prior to sending out? I would hope so.

I was gonna say something funny, but decided to refrain! haha

Yes, every single one is tested by me personally. Each adapter/tube combo is tested with both an atomizer and multimeter to check and make sure power is where it needs to be.

Are all atomizers built by the same people? If so, what are their tolerances?

...and so you can see what's happening, and because everyone LOVES blurry iPhone photos, here's what it looks like with an atomizer screwed in as far as it'll go:

that may be problem #2 -- Don't remove the brass surf - it will break the grounding and not work.

Shoot Casey an email so we can get it replaced.

EDIT: Look closely in your brass Surf - You will see the threads stop where the center post starts. When the center post ends up flush on a 510 atomizer, the threads on the 510 bottom out on our threads on the adapter/brass.

haha .... Because its stainless, we use the center post to expand the outside brass holding it in place :) LOL ...

Open a ticket with Casey - I will get another 510 adapter out to you today (I believe we have a few extras) Then shoot us your 510 adapter (the pieces of it) back to us via snail mail when you get the chance Surf!
