Has anyone here owned both the SB and the Bolt?

I am looking into either the Silver Bullet or the Bolt. They look pretty much the same but I know that may just be how it looks. I want to know if one is better than the other and in what ways? I am looking for a mod I can use in the pool without fear of murdering it if I happen to drop it in. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I thought it would be rude to post it in the SB or Bolt threads.

The SB and Bolt are both using wired switches, so I would think they wouldn't be all that happy about getting wet. A completely mechanical mod like the Omega (18650) or Alpha (14500) from Altsmoke might be a safer bet if you think it might get wet.

That said, although similar in pictures, the SB is bigger and heavier, and made to be much more durable than the Bolt. It's switch is a very heavy duty unit and recessed so that it can't be damaged in a drop. The horn switch on the Bolt is lighter duty and the internal wiring is thinner. The SB also gets serviced in Ohio by Altsmoke should it ever need any repair.

I do think a mechanical PV is a much easier to maintain choice if water is a possibility. Good luck!

I own a bolt, and can tell you, without seeing the SB in person, that the SB is a nicer product. The Bolt is literally all function and zero form. It works and its tough and that's about everything I can say about it. It's cheap and hardy which has it's appeal.
The Silver Bullet is made from nicer stuff, uses a nicer switch...just nicer.
