i'm sure i'll be flamed for this but i could care less.
i would say that 99.99% of the people that have had fires or the exploding
batteries were the ones at fault.
many of these people with mods have zero clue about what chargers to use, why
batteries that seem to both have protection differ in price.. among just the simple understanding that they shouldn't just buy something because people say they are good.
from what i have seen, read, and feel, most have just enough info to be really dangerous.
that said, i'm no expert by any stretch of the meaning and have my brain farts more often than not..
lipo is safter due to the chemical compound. is it needed, not really.
i have friends that will drain series 18650s in no time flat in their super duper flashlights. none of them have popped, caught fire, or had a single explosion using li-ion.
BUT, they do know more than most everyone here about the proper care and chargers to use.
not to put you on the spot but, those
batteries are 3v, you can not charge a 3v on a 3.7v charger. that is what the tekk charges.at
a 3v battery maxes out at or around 3.6v as where a 3.7v maxes out at 4.2v
back to batteries blowing up or w/e people want to say. its common mistakes like this that lead me to believe that anyone that has had an issue is to blame. not saying everyone, but my first thought will be "yet another person that screwed something up".
