I'd love to use some sort of database to keep track of my recipes with fields for ingredients, notes, vendors, and so on rather than the spreadsheet I'm using now. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Yup, I'm using a spreadsheet now, too Sophie. I really want the ability to categorize the all, search for things like specific ingredients, and search through it all like a catalog. I wish I knew something about db's.
Thanks Patti. That isn't what I'm looking for either. I'm in the process of trying out some free food recipe programs in the hopes that I can find one that I can get by with. So far I can't even find one that works at all
I like this one e-Liquid Calculator
Very simple, you can write down your notes, make your flavour list with notes, keep your recipes private etc.
And I also like that it contains published recipes which are rated by users...cooked some of them with quite a success.
After looking into over a dozen apps that either didn't work or turned out not to be free I'm going to give this a shot: http://www.relisimple.com/Downloads.aspx
It's simple, free, allows you to create categories, use filters to search, and seems totally stable, at least so far. I'm seriously thinking of having a friend of mine who makes a living doing web back ends and middleware build something for me.
i said this once before but it would be great to have a list and check mark which juice you own. Then from that it shows you the recipes you are able to make from what you have. No idea on how this would be done but I always thought it would be a great thing to have.
