And thats what I was trying to make others see or read into all the convoluted posts, You said it so much better and did not come off as a "jerk" like I did. I read through it and I did come off kinda mean.... SOrry.

Thank you and No Worries. It is plain easy to see everyone is simply trying to help. I would have made it shorter but I did not have enough time :) Others may have the opposite problem :)

All good information above.

Here is my take on this, for whatever it is worth. All I will say is I have read up on it for myself extensively since 09 and would urge you to do the same so you can make your own informed (as existing data permits) judgement:

Get an analog and a piece of tissue paper.

Get your e-cig and a piece of tissue paper.

Use both for the same amount of puffs, blowing the smoke/vapor out through the tissue paper.

Compare the two tissue papers afterwards and you will have a your own answer of which is likely better or worse.

Can anyone guarantee vaping is 100% safe for everyone at any level of usage? NO.

Can anyone guarantee smoking is safe? NO.

Is the safest option to simply not do either? YES.

Is it reasonable given the data available to say that vaping is safer than smoking? IMHO YES. I feel somewhere around 95% safer is an educated guess.

Is most of your base liquid PG? PG is used in hospitals to deliver inhalable medications, so proven safe enough for that limited usage. Both however have been discussed above.

How many chemicals are in a cigarette? over 4,000 chemicals, including 43 known cancer-causing (carcinogenic) compounds and 400 other toxins. These cigarette ingredients include nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide, as well as formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic, and DDT.

How many chemicals are in your juice? You could vape pure VG, PG, just a combo of the 2 or add nicotine and flavorings. Is this less than 4000? YES.

Are there unsafe things in some brands of pre-made e-juice? YES.

Are there companies that make safer e-juice than the ones above? YES.

Can you easily make your own juice with just a few known safe (for now) ingredients? YES.

I use an 80/20 mix of VG/PG and a dash of menthol crystals for flavor as my "daily driver mix". I think this is FAR safer than analogs. I used to have nicotine in the mix also, but do not need/want it anymore. On occasion I will use a different flavoring.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Very good info I've tried this paper towel trick and the analogs leave a nasty yellowish/brown residue. It's gross. The vapor leaves Nothing

hello im new and just wanna saw i love vaping , havnt been into it too long about 4 months and just for the hell of it one day i put a clear tube onto my mouth piece about 3" long and took a few or ten puffs and it gets what looks like condensation that forms on the inside of it, but it never goes away i have had the tube i used for over 2 months just sitting out in the open and its still there, it wont go away unless i wipe it off. does that seem concerning to anyone else.try it if u dont believe me . thx
I wouldn't call it oil, I'd be more off to call it residue. Vaping oil would burn your lungs :X It's just condensation kinda like ejuice dew.

with this dew one day I hope to blow a cloud dense enough to make it rain ejuice :D

Ever smoked a lot of analogs in your car?
Ever cleaned the inside of the window after this?
Ever thought the towel/rag you just used above looked like the bottom of your ashtray?
That was going into your lungs.

Then do the above with an e-cig, starting with a clean windshield.
Compare the two.

Now: Pick the one you like better ;) :vapor:

Put some VG on your hands, feels like oil. But go to wash it off, it's water soluble and comes off easily. That's not oil! There can be some issue with getting the last little bit off of you though, worse with actual flavored ejuice, extremely small amounts can be felt and also cause your windshield to look smeary.

In a tube, the residue may also hold on to water. That's how these personal fog machines work: they stick water from the air together into droplets big enough to see, forming vapor.

wow. It finally clicked. After all this time I figured out the"it's not smoke it's water vapor thing". I was always like... No it's glycerin vapor. I knew that glycerin was hydroscopic, but it never occurred to me that that's what is occurring... It sucks the moisture out of the air as you hit it and sticks with the glycerin. Thank you

    Only minuscule amounts of water.
And most fog machines do not use water, they use VG/PG, same as in vaping. Water based vapor is created only by liquid nitrogen/dry ice fog machines.

... I'm just saying it seems like alot and doesn't seem to take long to build up, there must be mass amounts of it entering my lungs is all I'm saying and I don't cough or choke all day from stuff in my lungs so can't be too bad I guess it's just crazy to me how it never evaporates and builds up so fast that's all.
Take a look at your juice bottle. All of it's contents will go into your lungs. It is vaping.

That's about what I said here once and was corrected. The water doesn't come from the juice, it comes from the air. Yet what you see is mostly water. Modern fog machines are the same.

I stil wouldn't say what you vape is "only water vapor" because obviously that wouldn't be very interesting.

No. It's an aerosol of VG and PG.

    Water
Touch with a Q-tip and poof gone

Sorry, if it was VG my living room would be a slippery mess after 10 months of 18hr. days mostly vaping.
I'm disabled from a work injury and can do little else right now, so I Vape and hang out here most days, evenings, nights.
I Vape through an average of 20+ mil per day.

Like I said, mostly - water.
Small surface, good tension, fairly equal temperatures, it hangs around. :)
