I tootle-puff and one of the reasons why is that I have had my blood profiles taken the entire time I've been vaping, and still struggle with the dehydration, which shows up on every one as a "flag" from the lab. (We compared to the years before that, which were all normal.) I hydrate twice as much as I used to, but it doesn't seem to matter. So, I can understand about the dryness for sure.

We don't know the long term affects of on-going dehydration to the cells and body but not everyone seems to be bothered by this. It is a matter of one's particular metabolism. I have worked on lowering my nicotine very slowly to 0%-3% in an effort to have a quit date in mind, just because I seem to be particularly plagued by the dryness thing.
Not everything works the same for *everybody*.
I would never bad mouth vaping since dryness is still better than smoking cigs!
