Thanks for the feedback. Ive never posted my email or home address on here. All my ecig info is from this forum and others. Ive never requested info or filled out questioners etc. from anyplace. just odd imo

This was a direct mailer to the house and a nice one too. Says "the safecig, the company that introduced Electronic cigarettes to America". lol

I have no problem with a company advertising just trying to figure out who gave my address out (i do have an idea, but i could be wrong) Just trying to narrow it down. Im gonna contact the company.

Thanks

PS I guess its possible that have my info from a cigarette company and the looking to convert people , but that seems unlikely.

Unfortunately technology the way that it is means that these companies can get your email address by simply clicking on a site to visit it. So if you have ever been to a site that sells the cheap garbage, they likely have technology that looks at your computer and pulls your email address into their advertising database. Very common unfortunately.

It used to be even more common before so many people began using webmail and not setting up their browsers with information like email addresses. You could fix it so when you click on an email link, and a desktop email program would open up!

Now I think some of them will go to google, or whatever, and log you in - IF you fill in your login and pass! ;)

Some of them used to even have a place for people to put their real names!

If you're not sure that your browser configuration is 100% email address free, seize a nerd and have them take a look - and if needed, make some changes so that any and all information that can be gotten from your browser is a good fit with your individual privacy and security preferences!
