Has anyone tried map dots for marking cart/carto flavors?

To mark what flavor was in a cart/carto I tried little colored rubber bands first but my PCC would move them or catch on them and eventually pull them off when I removed a cart.

I saw these 1/8 inch map dots and ordered them to see how they work out:

I bet those would work nicely. I suppose you could put a certain colored dot on the cap of a given flavor of e-juice and then put the same color sticker on any cart/carto that has that flavor laoded in it.

I'm brand new to this, and used an extra-fine tip sharpie to write on my cartos. It is hard to see unless you're looking for it since the carto and writing are both black.

dormouse, let us know how they work out. We tried the sharpie route and that didn't work well. Currently using the rubber band menthod, but they are a pain in the buttocks...

I actually DID try these (I had a random sheet of them in my junk drawer), and I thought they looked PERFECT. But... they refused to stay stuck to the rounded surface of the carto. Like, one side of the dot would unpeel. And then it didn't take long for the rest of the dot to just fall off.

I don't know, maybe I had a crappy off-brand though, or something.

I use a P-Touch labeler and it works great. Wish someone would come out with multi-colored mouth pieces also. Why only White? Seems like a bag of assorted colored mouth pieces would cost all of 2 bucks.

Arn't they too cool. I use mine for all kinds of things. One is to put the recipe of DIY juice right on the bottle.

Oh yeah, nice. you don't realize how much stuff requires a label until you own one. They're really water-resistant too, they last right through washings with no prob. It def turned me into a very organized vaper.

I've tried so many things. Finally found a method that works for me. When I open the package of the new carto, I don't rip it open, I just snip one end off and save it. Then when I finish with a carto, I take a sharpie and right on that plastic package what flavor and type of carto (IE: LR or SR). Then just slip the carto back into the package.

I finally found a set of pens that will write on cartos... Sharpie Paint Pens... and they come in many many colors.

If the colored dot does the trick, but the map dots wont work, I wonder if something like puffy paint would stick well enough. Although now that it's mentioned, the labelmaker seems ideal.

Tip for making labels/colored dots stick ... dab them with a bit of clear nail polish. Drys quickly and removes easily enough with some nail polish remover.

When using this on cartos ... I put this on the outside condom end .. not directly on the cartomizer Otherwise, top or bottom of bottles.

Nice find! I've been using round labels from the office supplies section at Walmart, but there are only four colors and they are 3/4 inch.

I finally used my first dot. That package I linked in the first post has an entire page of each color. I centered it on the side of the carto so neither condom will rub it. It was a new SLB 510 carto - clean and dry, matte finish with little if any texture, and the dot is staying on well so far. I rubbed it with the back of my fingernail to press it on well to start. If they don't work out, I will get some paint pens.

The perfectionist in me will not allow for any marring or marking of my cartos
So I get a "mystery vape" each day, lol... it's fine though, because I only have flavors that are all day vapes in my stash

(That being said, I did sorta like the way the paint pens look on the carto, and love the label maker idea.)

What I use are the carto condoms. I cut off the top so it's just a sleeve with a hole on each side. Then I take a small piece of paper and write the flavor on it. I wrap it around the carto and slide the condom over it. This works really well for me. I was using colors but I had so many flavors I had to using a color for two liquids. This way with the carto condom has worked the best for me
