Has anyone tried the iSmoka Magoo-C RBA (Ithika clone)?

I have been vaping on my ismoka magoo for over 24 hours now and I have to say, I am completely sold. This is an impressive ithaka style rba. I have built serveral types of oddy/ithaka style rbas (terminator c, nautilus, FT oddy, FT ithaka) and IMHO the ismoka takes the cake. I have let my kayfun 3.1 sit on the shelf since I picked this up.
The Magoo has a subjecively easy build and vapes like a champion. I had a slight problem with a "gargle" on the draw for a few hours. A few simple adjustments and an added o-ring took care of it.

I could go on forever about how pleased I am with this atty. it's rare that I spend 44.99 and am this blown away.

Count me in for at least one more. Don't sit on this, because once these TRULY hit the vaping community, they'll be difficult to find in stock.

Yup... Mine has a gargle to it also.... Where did u put the oring

What size oring and where did you place it? I love these too! Got one from a B&M for $35. Went back and he sold me 2 more for $65, including tax!

Edited a typo ;)

I too would like to know where you put the oring and what size to use. And also do you have any ideas as to where to get a replacement bottom post insulator?

Hi, I am wondering where you added the extra "o-ring"? Thanks

Just got the gold-colored Magoo today for my King, and I'm VERY pleased with it. Between it and my Russian 91% I am pretty much fixed for RBA's.

Now to see whether this thing patinas like the King...

Does this RBA require a complicated build? Would it be suitable as my first RBA?

I'd say no. Start with a genesis-style RBA first, I'd say...

The ithaka requires the use of nr-r-nr wire; aside from very atypical builds, it requires a specific wicking style; it's trivially easy to make a build which either runs to flooding or to dry hits; even when built right, incorrect futzing (and even insufficient futzing) with either the juice control or air control can make it flood (or go dry); even simple elevation changes can make it flood (and I don't mean going from sea level to a mountain top (though that'd certainly do it), even going from the first floor to the third floor can do it).

Gennies don't have these issues... Iths/oddies/other pressure-based systems have their plusses, but new builder friendly isn't one of them.

Just built my first coil on the Magoo, and it was definitely more complicated than a Kayfun/Russian. A little messier, and a little more tedious, but not impossible.

And so you know, I only built my first coil (Russian 91) about a week ago. Having purchased the ready-wires definitely made the experience with the Magoo easier, but I still messed up the first time because I didn't realize that the negative and positive sides of the NR wire had to be run down specific channels. D'oh!

I'm sorry if my questions are slightly OT but can someone tell me which RBAs require you to torch the coils? Also, which ones are dangerous, ie can cause your APV to blow up if not built right?
a) I've never torched a coil, for any rba, and I use rbs's of every genre;
b) all of them. Shorting is possible on all of 'em, and firing with a short can destroy circuitry quickly - probsbly why most rba users use mechs instead of apv's.

Just ordered a C kit from ecig city. I have a russian 91, KFL+, Penelope V1, Fogger V2 and a few others and wondering if people are getting alot of heat (hot tip) from this thing. I use micro coil/cotton on my others and never have an issue, but my other RTAs are stainless and the Magoo is copper. Just wondering since it's copper, that maybe the heat will transfer to the tip more.
