I'm a long-time daily smoker. I've tried many different types of e-cigs. While they have partially satisfied my cravings, I never felt totally satisfied with them and occasionally relapsed back to smoking cigs. However, at the suggestion of a friend, I recently tried vaporizing whole tobacco. I bought a vaporizer on the internet - the Iolite. I took the tobacco out of an american spirit cigarette, and vaporized it, and let me tell you, I had one of the strongest nicotine rushes I've ever experienced after only a few minutes of vaping. The rush would have been equivalent to smoking 3-4 cigarettes. I have now been vaporizing tobacco for a month or so, and feel completely satisfied and have not smoked any cigs.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Holy crap dude vaporizing real tobacco? lol That's a little crazy and a little awesome too.

sorry I haven't tried it but hell who knows i just might some time when I'm more bored than I am now.

I feel ya though on ecigs only being partially satisfying. It's like when you're used to drinking coca-cola classic(tobacco cigs) for years, then next thing you know, you switch to diet rite(ecigs) Apparently some people can trick themselves into liking ecigs better. for former smokers, ya might as well be honest and admit that real cigs are just much better, which sucks because they're so bad for you and ecigs are (allegedly) a safer alternative. I mean after a big meal, or when you have a good cruiser buzz going, there is nothing better than a good ole fashioned stinky cigarette.

this is not meant to bash ecigs at all, I am afterall on an ecig forumn, that would be kinda silly. just that the thing we really wish we could have, the grilled tenderloin with A-1 sauce(real cig) is more more appealing than the can of unsalted, unseasoned spinach(ecig)

I never wanted to put it into the Volcano, seemed too risky, and could leave a residual tobacco flavor.

Think I tried it on a cheaper 120v cheapo vape a long time ago but wasn't impressed. The device was garbage though.

Seems like some would be concerned about the vaping of other constituents of the tobacco. NAS claims 100% additive free, but only the more expensive reds are "organic" so anything from the fertilizer etc could still be in the plant.

Still has to be safer than smoking though.

Did you ever try any of the WTA juices? I'm interested in trying some in the future to see the difference of the added alkaloids.

Hey, thanks for the response. I've been doing a lot more research on this recently. I found out some interesting things. Actually, if the tobacco is natural (no added chemicals) like Nat Sherman or American Spirit cigs, vaporizing whole tobacco is preferable. Studies show that smokers are actually accustomed to other active ingredients in tobacco besides nicotine (which are released by vaporizing without the harmful carcinogens). Studies also show that vaporizing tobacco delivers more nicotine than simply vaporizing a nicotine extract because the other ingredients reinforce the nicotine to the user. I think this is why I feel such a strong nicotine rush when I vaporize tobacco, and why it is so satisfying.

Hello

Vaporizers for various uses have been around for a while now.

It is a way to go if your not wanting to give up tobacco.
It gives a cleaner inhale of particles in the lungs.

I have a nephew who has done it that way at the suggestion of his Dr. Problem is with the ones I have seen, they are a pain to carry around.
Nephew had one with a blower so you just put the tube to your face and inhaled no need to even suck.
Alas because of the extra hassle he went back to regular cigarettes.

You can order uncut whole leaf tobacco for 18.00usd /lb
That would be a way to go.
