This is a very airy atty but I set the ring like this to get the draw of the rm2. I also think the resulting vertical slit helps stir it up.

One harsh the buzz is the condensate collects under the ring and can make the air holes constantly wet.

Tried this atty for the day now that I got the replacement screws... I'm just not feeling it.

No regrets on picking it up, but I'm pretty sure it will not become my daily driver.

Pros: Very flexible air control, huge clouds when running sub-ohm dual coils, fairly easy to mount coils, great drip tip

Cons: Way too airy for me in any config other than what Lillie ably illustrated above, leaky, big, almost complete absence of flavor, total juice hog.

I went back to my Cyclone. Anxiously awaiting the AFC I recently ordered.

Honestly, nothing so far that I've tried beats the RM2. I'm just trying to move away from that excellent atty because I have a (probably irrational) compulsion to get away from any brass/juice contact. If there was an atty available 100% identical to the RM2 except using nothing but surgical grade stainless throughout (while keeping the ceramic deck), I'd buy it immediately. I'd probably even pay $100 for it.

As it stands, the Cyclone is the closest thing to that that I've been able to discern.

It is certainly different from the rm2. Squonking is also different since the juice enters above the bottom. The only bad thing about the rm2 is it is unremarkable in looks, ya get tired of looking at it lol!

I have a rm3 dual on the way but I am enjoying the rm4. Right now I have very wet vapor coming out of it which I like. So it seems to be capable of the full range of performance configurations and I like that as well.

I am also interested in the cyclone but just haven't had the gumption to risk getting a lemon.

the Cyclone is a good atty, if you can find a Divo BF from Vicious Ant they have a slightly smaller chamber a little better flavor. Of course there is always a Chalice :p

Here's a few pics comparing left to right, Cyclone, Divo, cyclone +AFC, RM2, Patriot

Things like chamber size, air flow, heatsink mass, etc...they're so subjective, and when you add variables such as custom builds (vertical coils?), single/dual/quad coils that can range between .2 - 2+ ohms...I wonder if some just aren't recreating their RM2 build on this device then judging it...it doesn't really work that way.

When I compare my build on an ERA (basically a Cyclone) and the build on my Magma...the only thing they remotely have in common is they both use some form of Kanthal and wick.

I believe Rob added this RDA not as an improvement/replacement to the RM2 but as an expanded sandbox to play in...run with it :2c:

I'm about 9 days into both the RM4 and the RM3.

If you want an RM2 on steroids, the RM3 (dual) is the one. Myself, I like it for the flavour (it's extreme) and the heat. It's relatively tight draw suits my mouth to lung vaping style.

If you want direct lung hits, the RM4 is much more like a Magma, Patriot, etc. As has been noted, it's very airy and just feels like it wants to be 'worked' more on the draw. Skinnying the air flow down to virtually nothing can work, but it feels like that's counter to it's 'native' operation. I like it, but the flavour just can't be beaten on the RM3, which is what I'm after. YMMV.

For many, though, the RM4 will be the best large chamber vape in the reomizer family.

That's what I mean about subjectivity and variables...the large(r) chamber on the RM4 (keep wanting to type Atomic) affords builds that just can't be done on a small chamber RDA...for those that want a "blow your head off" vape without also being the temperature of lava you can build something like 24 awg duals @ .2 ohms...crack open the air flow and the flavor is amazing...I've tried that on a dual airhole 14mm RDA...it's kinda painful...and it's a squonk per vape.

Granted, that's not for everybody but props to Rob supporting those who want to push the envelope and take advantage of those S/O contacts...in the new world of $25 clones to bf I've got a lot of RDA's and pound for pound the RM4 is no slouch and can't really be compared to a 14mm...it's in a different league.

edit:...thanks for the likes but I just re-read my post and I think my use of "different league" sounds snobby...it wasn't meant as such at all, appologies
