I can't find the flavor tobacco Blend (PG) on The Perfumer's Apprentice website. And, RTS Vapes no longer has it listed on their website either.

I'm getting nervous. Am I missing something? This is the one and only flavor that my brother uses, all day, every day. It's also one of my favorite base flavors.

If anyone can see what I'm missing or knows what's up, please chime in!

From TFA's website on 10/24/13 :
tobacco Blend (PG)
The day has come. tobacco Blend (PG) is officially out of stock.
The ingredient - Tobacco Absolute - that we used to make it from has been indefinitely revoked and we can not acquire it in large quantities any longer.
We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we assure you that we feel your pain!
Perfumer's Apprentice

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Cheers,
Steve

But, if you contact them and ask about it they will tell you the formula for it.....They told me that it's 1% Tobacco Absolute to 99% of a 10% solution of Ethyl Maltol and PG. So basically make a solution of EM to PG @ the rate of 1g EM per 9 ml PG, and add one drop of Tobacco Absolute for every 5ml of solution.

I called my brother at work and he just bough a WHOLE BUNCH of Tobacco Blend flavoring from My Freedom Smokes. So, we're safe for now.

I like the idea of using Tobacco Absolute. But, Perfumer's Apprentice said:
'The ingredient - Tobacco Absolute - that we used to make it from has been indefinitely revoked and we can not acquire it in large quantities any longer.'

So, is Tobacco Absolute going to continue to be available at other places?

I've never had to work directly with TA. We've always just used the TB (PG). And, yes it is that good, if you want something very plain and cigarette like.

I like more flavor than my brother. So, I mostly use it as a base. I mix the TB at about 3 % and let it steep a month. Then I can either use it as is or use it as a base to add other flavors to. It gives them a fuller flavor that way.

Thanks for the info and the link to the other thread. I'll be saving these threads for future reference.

I've only been DIY'ing a month or so and I'm mainly, mostly...I mean fully only concerned in tobacco's. I haven't had any experience in working with TA....so I don't know if it's something essentially missing from my mixes or not...

I've only worked with Tobacco Blend (PG), not TA directly. Although all TB (PG) is is TA, EM, and PG. To me, it tastes more like a cigarette than anything else I've tried, by far. But, I've only tried TPA and FA for tobacco flavors so far. I haven't gotten around to Hangsen yet. But, TB is so plain and simple that it also makes a great base for other flavorings too.

This thread might help if you're interested in tobacco flavors:

Any suggestions on mixing percentages for the Tobacco Absolute Blend (PG)? I just got my new nicotine order from wizard labs and had added this flavor to my order.

Havent mixed it up yet as I am looking for percentages to start.

EDIT: The smell is pretty sweet, is the flavor have a strong sweet taste as well? How are straight tobacco absolutes with no sweetener as far as flavor?

Thanks. Yeah not sure, I am looking at the Wizard Lab bottle of this and it does say Tobacco Absolute Blend (PG), contents Tobacco Absolute Pure, Ethyl Maltol, and PG.

Tobacco Absolute Blend? I assume you mean Tobacco Blend (which is made with Tobacco Absolute).

If so, 2 - 3% should do. And, I've never noticed it seeming sweet myself. But, I also don't mix it very strong. That may be why.

Not wanting be left without a good amount of TB,I bought a couple bottles from Better Vapes (Their Item ID TFA-1209)

They just got here today and I`m kinda concerned about how they look.

I thought it would be the same product as the stuff I bought from Wizard Labs……now I`m not so sure…

These bottles have a good bit of undissolved crystals (EM?) and the liquid itself is cloudy…..the cloudy appearance may be due to sitting in a cold mailbox…but assuming the product was at one time in a clear/amber condition, could the previously dissolved crystals have re-formed to the extent that these bottles show?

Shaking the bottles has not been effective in dissolving the crystals so far

I filled out an online “contact us” box on the Better Vapes site….waiting for a response….I`ll update this thread when I hear from them

In the meantime,I`d appreciate getting a few opinions from the learned users here.

EDIT: In the time it took me to assemble this post,I got a great response from Better Vapes (Steve)....he said "Yes it is TFA flavoring. I have seen this before. All you have to do is put the bottle in a cup of hot water until the crystals dissolve. With this cold weather the crystals like to reform but nothing a little heat won't fix. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to ask. Have a great weekend"

Ya gotta love good fast customer sevice !!:thumb:
