Being a geek myself, and an avid Linux user, I see the same "Us vs. Them" mentality in the windows / mac Vs. linux debates.

Its unfortunate, as no one wins. I just bought a LavaTube, to see what they're all about. They seem perfectly capable, and if the quality is anything more than subpar, I forsee them selling quite well.

Theres a place for all these mods, some of it is functionality, some of it is price, some of it is fit and finish.. But, I think the major part is what you're happy with.

And lets face it, when you plonk your money down on something, you want to be happy with it.

Plonk your money on anything you want that makes you happy :)

I've bought 5 Provaris, so thats where a huge amount of my plonking has gone.

...They make me happy! :)

The people that hate the Provari are usually people that dont have one or buzz fanboys. I think its more jealousy than anything else.

Buzz fanboys are the ones that throw out the menu system and display being annoying.

The menu and the display is not a problem. And it doesn't really make a difference for me.
I have a Buzz Pro, a Provari (black satin with blue LED) and a (silver satin) Provari Mini. The build quality is better on Provari, but the Buzz Pro is lighter and more comfortable in my hands. On my Provari I am using VPX SS Mini Cartomator tanks and on my Buzz Pro I am using the Notcigs M1A1 tank. The M1A1 tank is nice because it has a side screw and I am using that hole to fill the tank. For the cartomator I have to make a more complicated operation (pushing the carto down). On all of them I'm running 3.0 Boge cartos. I like them all! It is just a matter of preferences. And I learned the hard way the rule #1 in vaping: always have a backup! I am using all 3 of them and love them equally.

Thats exactly what i thought. The Provari is more expensive from a manufacturing and electronic standpoint and higher quality machining but both are great mods. I never had a single issue with the menu . Thats a plus for me not a negative.
