A centrifuge in the humoungous Voltaic lab is running amok! It is spinning fast, faster, then so fast it blurs! There is a bluish tint observable, around the spinng samples, like an aura. It grows wobbles and forms a familiar shape and suddenly it forms YardByrd who is flung from the instrument and lands on his avian rear on the floor of the lab. He shakes his head back and forth and using his wings for leverage stands up. His platinum YB medallion is glowing a deep royal blue and you hear his smooth, deep, male, Latin translated voice:

"Hail and greeings Voltaic Viceroys and technical Wizards. I am pleased to report that I have apparently successfully rebuilt my first Vivi Nova head. I have yet to fire it but when I test it I get a 2.0 ohm reading (I was trying for 1.8 ohms), consistently, and have learned a bit more about testing these heads and the proper way to use my multimeter.

Many thanks, to you all, for your help and support. It appears that the multimeter I purchased will serve me well through my journey of rebuilding. I had to report this news to you all and will try using this head, tomorrow, and will report back only if I have troubles."

YardByrd bows low and taking flight goes straight back toward the centrifuge, which is still running at very high RPMS, and is atomized back into a blue glow that gradually fades away....suddenly YardByrd's head sticks out form the nearly gone bluish hue and you can hear him clearly before he is gone: "Viva Vapeland!"

Congratulations! That's the first step. Now you're going to become addicted to rebuilding, and you'll become one of us wizards :D. Well, I'm actually the Simian Sorcerer, but magic is magic.

I've been playing with the Cody RBA, the oddy clone, and at first it started leaking like crazy. But I think I figured out how to avoid that. I used two strands of wick, one 3mm and on 1.5mm. I coiled them together, but I placed the 1.5mm inside the ceramic cup where I saw the leak occurring, and now it's not leaking at all. Also, this doesn't need nr wire, so that's a plus. But I'm thinking of getting the Terminator-C that DV is carrying. That holds more juice, but it also requires the use of nr wire. As soon as that comes in at DV, I think I'm going to jump on it. Not literally.

A sizzling electronic sound like electricity arcing is heard and suddenly YardByrd is there standing on the smooth floor of the Lab.

"Hail and greeings Voltaic Viceroys, Scientific Sleuths, and technical Wizards! A quick follow up on my first Vivi Nova head rebuild and a for what it's worth comment. I vaped using my rebuilt head tonight and it worked fine. I perhaps should have used one more strand of wick as vapor was not quite as thick as usual. No matter: no other issues and for my first rebuild I am pleased.

FWIW: I have never had success with carto tanks and decided I would give it one more try tonight. I have a fancy CT I purchased and a less fancy, rougher one, my cousin and vaping mentor made from an old syringe and she gave to me. The fancy one was still a no go...just too much hassle. I tried the one my cousin made for me and hers is apparently working extremely well and was easy to handle and fill; I didn't even need a syringe but used a pipette instead. I'm vaping some older, very well steeped DIY kona coffee I made so if I had issues I wouldn't lose any "good" e-liquid. Vaping at 3.4V on my L-Rider is producing massive vapor and pronounced flavor.

Your support re: Vivi Nova head rebuild, and on other technical issues, gave me the confidence to try one more time. So....I appartently have one good working CT now! If it fares well through my old DIY I will be confident to try better e-liquids later. Thank you all so very much."

YardByrd holds his left wing up beside his head, in salute, and folding his right wing over his breast the sizzling sound returns. Arcs of multicolored energy are emitting from each of his feathers to the floor and when they seem to be growing hot he disappears in a cloud of Hawaiian coffee smelling vapor.
