Have any of you experenced this when starting out?

....that being said when I first started out,..my brainparts almost exploded trying to figure out how I could improve my
vaping experience outside of those eGo's with the throw away cartomizers. The juice I picked wasn't the best either,..I'll skip that part for now,..but I was a couple of months into vaping before I even found out about ECF.
My research history:
Riptrippers..Yep,..as big a clown as that guy tries to be,..he is very knowledgeable about builds,..and how to get the best flavor out of whatever RDA you choose to top that mechanical mod with..That's all he used at the time was mech mods.
Safety:
Here on ECF..specifically @Baditude ..thank you my brotha for all of your help! I might well have blown my face off without it.
Juices:
Here's the hard part..You will get so many out of this world suggestions from well meaning folks on ECF that your frontal lobe will turn into a swirling mass of e-liquid searching all the suggested sites. Oh yeah,..those brainparts will be jelly in no time at all..Take my advice early on and order SMALL..like really small..one or two samples..you can thank me later!
Mods:
This is another thing that gets just totally ridiculous at times for the choices you have. I was told but didn't listen,..
"Steer clear of the cheap Chinese ripoffs..there all junk"
Did I listen though,...nooooooooooo! Straight off to Fasttech I go..with these results here:
All junk from China..the tips actually cost more than the mods and attys put together..but that's another story for another time.
I still have that one brass one..The cloned King only for posterity as it was my very first mech mod..it still works btw..Yep,..I lucked out and got one that actually didn't give me a heap of trouble and had a decent switch.
Now this is more my style almost two years into this..I still have a juice buying problem but with the Sig100 and the Reo,,I've found my happy place as far as mods goes..I'm soon to buy another Reo well,..because for the money,..it's the best squonker around IMHO.
Juice preferences are..Ahlusion,..The Plume Room,..and Charlie Nobles..Nicoticket has a couple of nice one's as well..Specifically ACB!

been vaping for 2 yrs now, was a half a day smoker, along with being a pipe smoker. Wanted to quit smoking so I walk into my local vape shop, they set me up with a knock off ego with those cheap clearmizer that maybe lasted a week. Was still smoking caz it wasn't providing me with the nicotine to kick the cigs.
Finally got a ego c-twist along with a Protank 3 thought that was the bomb, till I found out bout the issues with bad heads, and the fact you have to buy a new blister pak every month, swore off Kanger for yrs.
got a MVP 2 now that a tough mod, I still have it, and use it with my Aspire mini, then I got into the mech mods, and have a nemmy clone, and a magneto, and a helio clone RDA.
Found out I was a flavor junkie soo I went and got a lemo 2 and a Kayfun V4 clone, talk bout flavor for days on the Kayfun hehehhe.
now I'm bout just DIY my own juice, buy a bottle of pre-made every soo often and building coils, still not very good at it thou heheh

In my attempt to keep the old hardware, I actually bought new BIOS firmware. But I absolutely couldn't get it to install. The BIOS company refunded my money.
