Again I must say the I only been vaping for a month, never had heard of it before then. I have been browsing around this forum a lot for the last couple of days. I've read thru a few threads of people talking about their favorite juices & have only seen Johnson Creek mentioned 1 time. That confuses me seeing how much I like them, its starting to make me wonder if I'm missing something. From me looking at their site compared to others & tasting the quality & their juice (especially the Island flavor) & the amount of vapor their Red Oak line produce, I would think this company would be number 1 on more peoples list. I wonder why not, is it the pricing, the lack of variety in flavors, do most people not like 100% VG the way I do? Any vets out there that have tried J.C. & many others companies, please help me understand whats going on here lol. How high do u rank Johnson Creek, & what brand would u say is better?

Yeah you covered a lot of the reasons they aren't popular. People like a mix of VG and PG. They mainly like higher PG with just enough VG to give them a good amount of vapor. Higher VG means thicker juice and less flavor. VG has a hard time at wicking in clearomizers. And the price is ridiculous at JC. I have had a few of their juices. Its OK.. But I would rather pay less than pay their prices.

But at this time I am more of a cart user so 100% VG is ok for me right? For some reason I would rather as much vapor as possible, so Im always looking for sites that sell 100% VG.

yeah cartomizers are great if you enjoy 100% VG juices.
You just have to wait a little longer for it to soak in when you are refilling them.
But yeah, cartomizers are 1 of the best options for high VG juices.
Cartomizer tanks on the other hand, not great with high VG juice.
Not too bad either. So long as you punch/drill enough holes for the juice to enter the carto.

I think the price has a lot to do with it. That, and the flavors seem "muted" on some of them. I cannot see paying that much more for JC (altho I love the bottles, but you can't vape a bottle!) I used to vape them when I first started (because I was refilling Blu cartos) but then I got interested in other systems and other juices. I still enjoy the Ranier (cherry), but it isn't as flavorful as other types of juices.
OTOH, the Espresso I ordered from them is VILE, and has too much flavor!
I think as people continue on this journey of vaping, most of us tend to branch out and try other vendors. That is when the price/taste difference becomes very noticeable. They are a reliable vendor and have wonderful customer service, so if you enjoy them, keep ordering! There is no "right" way to enjoy the vape journey.

A fancy website does not an artisan juice mixer make. Personally, I think their juice tastes like crap. They have big bucks with Blu lining their wallets because they have a contract with Blu to fill every single Blu cartridge. So of course they're going to look fancy. And that comes with a cost. That cost being higher prices.

If you like all VG, try Velvet Cloud Vapor - Organic and Natural All VG E-Liquid from San Francisco. I suggest you try Blue Beard Tobacco, Caramel Tobacco and White Beard Tobacco at the least. They're an awesome vendor; really nice employees, they use natural tobacco to flavor and nicotine that they extract in house!

Also, Ahlusion offers 100%VG and is very highly regarded in the vaping community. As well as Copper Creek. In fact, lots of vendors offer 100% VG or no added PG; as some flavorings contain PG as the base.

The vendors I listed run a tight ship and are class acts.

Ok thanks, I understand a lot better now, I've been looking at Mt Baker Vapor for the last couple of hours & just ordered 3 bottles, I got some from Chi-Town Vapors too, they got a nice sample pack deal. I started on Blu also & thats exactly how I got onto Johnson Creek lol, who is your go to juice supplier now if u dont mind sharing that info?

E-liquids are veg juice and some flavoring. They cost about 3 cents a ml. to make.If you like paying a 2000 percent mark up go for it.As far as ranking them,I'd say they are close to last. There are much better choices out there.
LOL thanks, who is your go to juice supplier if u dont mind me asking? I've only tried 3 companies so far, 5 sample bottles from Johnson Creek, 5 from Chi-Town Vapors, & 1 from GoodEJuice, my number 1 still is the Island from Johnson Creek Red Oak, & Peanut Butter Cup from Chi-Town Vapors.

I started with blu, found Johnson Creek next, purchased their Vea and have been using their e-liquids for awhile, and I still have a few fav's there. In fact, one of my fav's is on sale and I'm going to snag another bottle with more cartos.

My batteries are still chugging along at 6+ months. I've never had one single issue with anything I've ordered. Excellent quality, just my opinion. I've since upgraded my device to a variable voltage, but I still use my Vea's daily too.

I still like their cartos, but I've only tried a couple others, currently stalking ikenvape.

I've just recently tried Mt. Baker Vapor. So far, I love their e-liquids, they seem to be an excellent company too, with awesome customer service.

chellemmm, summed it up very well.........:toast:

But absolutely, vape what "you" like. Try what "you" want to, (or not), and enjoy your journey.

If you have looked around (at all) you've seen there are other places with lower prices, each here knows their own situation, and will purchase accordingly. If you like it and are willing to pay more for what "you" like, then do it. I'm going to still buy a few of what I like despite their higher prices, I just cannot justify them exclusively.:p

Hereal: Right NOW, my "go to" juice supplier is FuZion Vapor. Store | fuzion vapor
They are NOT for everyone, but I love super sweet candy flavors and I do not like tobacco flavors. They have great customer service and answer all questions within 24 hours. They also ship fairly fast, which is a plus.

I think you are on the right course, just keep trying (sample packs are great) and re-order what you love. A LOT of suppliers will allow you to choose your own VG/PG ratio, so it should not be a problem for you to continue to vape %100 VG... I have found that I prefer the ratio of 70/30, PG/VG. It all depends on YOU!

I've tried their Solstice, Marcado, and Tenessee Cured (All VG only), and I quite liked the first two. The TC I liked at first, but it was a little too dry for my taste, after I'd vaped it for a while. My local smoke shop sells Johnson's Creek, and I plan to try a few more of their juices. I'll probably order the sampler.

They are pretty expensive when compared to others, especially the artisanal houses favored on ECF and chinese e-liquids. And as I've been using tanks and clearomizers lately, VG juices are a little impractical (Marcado in particular is mad thick). Unfortunate, because I do have some side effects from PG-containing juices that weren't as problematic when I was just vaping Johnson's Creek Red Oak.

I honestly think the reason they're not so popular on ECF is that they aren't a registered suppler, so they just don't get as much press, and the vapers who favor Johnson's Creek aren't around here so much. (And I wonder how their involvement with Blu, and Lorillard, has to do with their absence from the ECF community?)

Nothing against JC, but when I first began posting here I wrote a raving review about their Merango. I loved it, initially. Unfortunately after about 30 vapes it tamed down, and tasted like nothing. I was very impressed with the amount of vapor, now I know it's because of VG. I have learned that their juices all have one thing in common, and that is the taste of tobacco. Not something I enjoy. I can't believe how much my tastes have changed in such a short time. I did have a concern over one of their juices and contacted them. They replied, I followed their instructions. Still had the same concern, so I contacted them again. At that point they simply told me that their juices were meant to be dripped in an atomizer, not used in a clearomizer. Oh. Wish I had known that to start with. I like the tin they sent with my order of samplers. I use it to keep my clearomizers in (ironic), and I love their bottles, but like Chellemmm said, you can't vape bottles. So, they are no longer on my list, too many other vendors to try and fall in love with, or not! I'm just enjoying the journey!

I agree with your latter point. But not everyone wants to DIY. Some just wouldn't even know where to start as far as mixing complimentary flavors. I've dabbled with it, had mostly failure but some success. I'd just rather buy it from a vendor. But not JC.

No problem.

Premium USA E-Liquid, Electonic Cigarettes and Handcrafted USA E-Juice by Mister-E-Liquid.com is really good, too. G T F O, Brain Matter, Pink Dragon, Green Dragon, Jade Tiger. Those are great.

ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE / E CIGARETTES STARTER KITS AND E LIQUID NICOTINE FROM MOM AND POP has great juice. RYO is really good if you like tobacco. Which I'm guessing you do since you vape JC. Also Tobacco Haze and Tobacco Praze from mom & pop are both good as are Butterfly Bait and Crazy Ape.

www.indigovapor.com is good, too. Tony takes a lot of pride in his juice and it shows. OOHRAH and Indigo Classic are very tasty.

Welcome to Ahlusion is another fantastic vendor (My and a LOT of other's favorite). They extract flavors from tobacco, vanilla, peach and other fruit in house. Although they're only open on weekdays from 10AM Central time to..... not sure, but it says on their site. If you go with them, and I suggest you do, try Smooth Criminal, Desperado and Peachy Criminal. They also have some very aromatic, strong tobaccos. But I believe they're sold out atm.

But these types of juices need time to 'steep'. I prefer to call it 'aging'. It's just the process of the flavors mingling and becoming one. It makes the juice taste more rich. It's like making a stew. It's always better the next day once the flavors mingle. It just happens a bit slower with e-liquid.

Like I said, it seems like you like tobacco flavors. If that's the case, check out the thread titled "Natural Tobacco" in General E-Liquid. It's huge but don't be intimidated. Jump right in and ask any questions you have about naturally flavored tobacco liquids. People in there know what they're talking about.

Johnson Creek were the first juices I tried. I got Solstice, Vanda and Merango. I really liked the Solstice. The Vanda was too thick and I only got a couple of vape puffs before it wouldn't work in clearomizer and the Merango was just ok to me.

I got my next juices from GoodVapes. I loved the Bellini, Vanilla Mint, and my favorite is Peppermint Betty. I've heard that DFWVapors has great juices. I'm going to try them next.
