Haven't even used an atty/cart yet.

I went with cartomizers from the time I first got all this. I haven't even tried an atty. I am afraid to try and drip and burn something out. I think with my new flavors arriving, instead of fouling up my new carto's with juice I won't like, I will begin to make use of the blank carts and my atty's to use as a test bed to determine the liquids I like. I honestly am at home most often, either at my computer or watching TV, so dripping or using atty's shouldn't be a big deal, but I just like being able to vape for hours at a time without the need to constantly pause a game or movie just to pull out the juice and refill. Perhaps one day I will "get it" but so far cartomizers seem to get the job done quite well and still be much less expensive overall than analogs.

Just wondering how many of you tried one way and haven't even bothered with the other ways so far. I am currently at about the 2-3 week point vaping by the way. Perhaps using the atty's/carts from those crappy 7-11 PV's turned me off from it. I hated how long those lasted. I will try it soon with the new juices though!

Note: I haven't even opened the carts/atty's that came with my Riva yet. When my new juice arrives in the next day or two I likely will so I don't cause undue cleaning on a carto from using a juice I don't enjoy.

P.S. It's funny because from what I generally see, most people used carts/atty's when they first get their kits either because they are available as part of the kit or because they haven't researched cartomizers ahead of time. I happened to do my research and kind of decided what was good for me before I even made a purchase. ;)

Cartos are a bit harder to find for my PV and all reasonably priced starter kits came with atty and carts so that's what I started with. I ordered some cartos elsewhere but they're sort of beta-test CE2 r4's and came with no condoms and with instructions shrunk almost to invisibility and printed on a card a bit larger than a matchbook haha. I plan to try them but I have to manage to read the instructions and actually had to search out and order some earlier rev cartos with condoms just to have a way to seal up the carto when traveling. I'm also a bit wary of cartos because my batteries, even though manual, have a hole in the top. I think the r4 cartos have no stuffing at all so I worry about having a little flood and killing my battery. So that's why I am using carts so far!

I have been dripping most of the time, but use carto's while driving to and from work. I just found that I get more flavor and vapor from dripping and the first time I dripped I was hooked! So much flavor and vapor! Once you try dripping I think you will like it. It is really pretty hard to burn up the atomizer, you will notice a slight burning taste/smell well before you will burn it up. When you first start, put about 3-4 drops on the atty, activate your switch once or twice for a couple seconds, then put about 2 more drops in and away you go. Then when you notice a slight burning taste/smell, add another 3 or 4 drops. You will definately notice alot more flavor and vapor. Take care and happy vaping!!

Ok, so I am using an atty/cart right now. I dripped about 5 drops onto the atty, and then got the cart nice and wet. The first 4-5 drags produced almost nothing, but now I am getting more out of it. I am noticing that the TH is nowhere near as good as when I use a carto however, and I have to take a much longer draw from it in order to feel any TH at all really. The flavor actually seems to be lessened as well. Could I be doing something wrong here?
