Cartomizer

Received my first cartomizer (pre-filled) as a freebie when ordering juice from a vendor. He has high prices on his kits, but I really like one of his juices. Anyhow...maybe I am doing something wrong, but I can't seem to make it work right. I understand that the cartomizer is an atty and a cart in one. Tried to screw it on the batt, as I would an atty, but it wouldn't go down quite all of the way like an atty would. Very little vapor happening with it. I think it must be me perhaps, something I am missing.

I am using the Riva 901 for informational purposes.

Hi, lucinda! Sounds like you might have received a bum carto. They should screw down flush on the connection. I would suggest contacting the vendor.

Yeah, could be he sent the wrong model. I'll give him a call on Monday. I guess you can't complain too hard on a freebie, but might as well get the real deal. : )

lucinda - look at the vendor
s site and see if you can find a picture of the cartomizer - or email the vendor and ask what type of cartomizer it was. Most are more than willing to help - they want you to come back and order from them again. And juice price is subjective. In my opinion there is a difference between "cheap" and "frugal" ;-) - some juices are so nasty, I won't vape them even if they're free!

I am a little familiar with juices, but one thing that I have really noticed is that juice taste is highly subjective. By that I mean that what I like, you might not like at all and vice versa. I personally prefer a menthol/minty kind of taste and I am trying other things, but so far always seem to come back to the menthol. I think catherinefrey that a good juice for you will be something that you will have to discover from trying different juices to see what your personal preferences are...at least that is how it seems to be working for me. Bluemist vapor has a great deal on sample packs. There are many companies that will ship out sample packs of smaller bottles to try to help your find your favorites. Others might have great suggestions on things to try as well.

This is something you will have to discover on your own. I'm not trying to be coy, but that's just how it is. It's like trying to tell someone not to eat at a certain restaurant when that happens to be their favorite place to eat. We all have different tastes. I know there are quite a few menthol lovers out there, but I'm not one of them. The taste makes me wretch. I love Banana's Foster, but I'm sure there are some people out there who are completely repulsed by anything banana flavored.

The best (and only) thing you can do is buy small bottles, experiment will different flavors and go from there. You'll figure out what you like and what you don't fairly quickly. The most important thing is to have fun with it and sometimes be fearless! I took a chance and tried Mocha Smoke from Gourmet Vapor. I usually can't stand anything with tobacco flavors except RY4. This flavor surprised the hell out of me and is now one of my favorites.

catherine - browse the e-liquid reviews threads - there are pages (and pages!!) of reviews. My "yum" may be your "yuck!" Buy smaller sizes until you have an idea what you like. There is no "one size fits all".

I think it's worth your time and money to try a couple of different vendors.
