Best advice yet - never go above 5ML until you know you like it. I ordered a 20ML of bubble gum once and was disgusted by the 2nd drop...

I whole heartedly agree with this. I have a 20 ml of Bananas Foster Coffee, and Wyatt Earp and it turns out I can't stand either of them. Small sizes are the way to go; especially as your taste buds return and you find that flavors you thought you loved (banana for me) now are quite unpleasant.

I'd be more than happy to take that Wyatt Earp off your hands!

I'm going to disagree on not ordering 30ml and on ordering sample sizes. I do order 30ml of new flavors when it is the flavor of the week or a special because many times it cost about the same as 10ml at regular price. If I don't like it I can always PIF it or trade it with someone else. I generally don't order sample packs and stick with at least 10ml I find that if I get a sample of something I really like I run out within 2 days and have to place another order and pay additional shipping whereas 10 ml will get me through till my next order. I prefer to order a minimum of 10ml of any flavor and if I don't like it I can PIF it or trade it. I've been vaping for 2 months and other than the Dekang crap and Cinnabomb, which I was allergic to, I have wanted to keep all my juices.

So I got this empty cartomizer and am looking @ it and can't for the life of me figure out how to fill it. Where does the juice go? Is there supposed to be some kind of filler material? I pulled the rubber top off of the big end and it just looks like a threaded tube with a hole in it about 3/8" down in there. The smaller end is just the hole I assume you suck on. Do you inject the juice through the "suck hole"....lol.....or the little hole in the threaded end? or heaven forbid................neither?
Where can I go to watch a "juicing for ......s" video?

Couple of different ways...
1. Tilt carto at a 45 degree angle and drip down the side into the filler. Avoid getting juice down the center hole
2. Condom fill method - search the forum for this one. Quick and easy, but can get a little messy.
3. Syringe. I've started using this and really like it. stick the syringe between the filler and the side of the cart and inject about a .5ml while you are pulling it up towards the top. Rotate 90 degrees and repeat. If it pools at the top, use the syringe to suck up any excess.

Search around for these three methods. You'll find a ton of info an videos. Check this new Sticky out as well....I'm sure MistressNomad has some tips for how to fill your carto up.

That did the trick nicely. TYVM for the info. I also watched MistressNomads video series and that answered a BUNCH of my questions. I feel bad that she typed all the answers out for all of the questions I have been bugging her with.........she could have just posted the link to her videos.
Thanks a TON MNomad......I never would have figured even part of this out without you. I am sure I'll have many more questions to bother everyone with soon.........lol
On a side note:
I don't do alot of forums because everytime I go to one I always seem to run into a bunch of dickheads. That is definately NOT the case here. Every reply I have gotten here has been excellent, informative, mature, and respectful. I added this to my favorites today and anticipate coming here every day in the future. What a great place. Hopefully one day I'll be one of the veterans addressing newbie questions. Thank you all so much for your patience.

So I got my Ego on Monday and I am digging it. Good call on the "Don't get the 403". I get a whole day out of one battery and the mega carto.
I like all of the flavors of juice I got except for a couple of the tobacco ones. My mega carto is filled with Wyatt Earp and that is what I am vaping all day long. I have five 501 cartos filled with various flavors for little breaks in the action.
I cannot believe the amount of vapor I get out of this PV. It sometimes feels like more than a regular analog.
Most importantly......I had one analog on Monday, one on Tuesday, and one today. I cannot believe I went from 40+ analogs a day to one. I didn't even take my cigarettes to work yesterday or today. Monday after I got my Ego I took my ashtray into the kitchen, emptied it; and put it in the dishwasher. I took my last pack & 1/2 of cigarettes and put them on the back porch with my lighter.
So far so good.

This is great! Very glad you have hardware that is working for you and have a good start on your new journey.

(Never saw a reason to jump in earlier as you were getting good suggestions)

This thread is another example of how the great ECF people that helped you can help another. Maybe even that lurker reading this that feels odd asking the questions you did.

Good Luck!

Congrats 46_and_2 !
I just read this whole thread, lol, it was a good read, had a lot of similar questions and thoughts.
We ended up getting a Joye 510 eleven days ago and my wife and I are happy with it. I do like the idea of the Ego, longer battery life and all, but the 510 is working well for us right now. I got a few different juices when I picked up the 510, now I've got to check out some different flavors, some many choices, lol.
Great site here, lotsa good info and lotsa good people, well good luck on dumping the analogs and Happy vaping!
