I've only been vaping for three weeks, and have been happy with my kanger unitank until today. I like the top fill, and the bcc temp and draw. Today though, I just haven't been able to get it together--literally.

I got over enthusiastic yesterday while playing with my variable voltage and ended up with bad scorched taste. No problem I thought, and took everything apart and cleaned it out, then put it all back together with a different coil this morning. I thought all was well and started vaping away, but ended up with severe gurgling and leaking. OK, so I cleaned it all out again and put it back together again very carefully. Same problem. Tried a different coil again, more leaking and gurgling.

After triple checking everything all that I can figure is that something is wrong with the spring that makes the top fill work. So now I'm sitting here using a top coil that I really don't like. I have also tried a cartomizer/tank, and the priming and filling was way too futzy to do with bad hands. I do have a Davide on the way, but I have really liked the unitank. I searched online and couldn't find the spring available anywhere.

I'm going to try again tomorrow to get the unitank working again, but what I'd really appreciate tonight (other than a chance to vent) would be any other ideas on easy to fill clearomizers or on how to get the unitank working again.:confused::confused:

Bump. Somebody must know how to fix a Kanger Unitank.

If you are getting gurgling you have liquid in the air chamber. here is the fix they recommend:

Gurgling noise or leaks: This is a sign that liquid has found its way into the metal tube in the center of the Clearomizer (and usually occurs after a refill). Ridding the center tube of liquid will resolve the issue. To do so without emptying the tank, remove the Clearomizer from the battery, wrap a cloth or tissue around the battery end of the Clearomizer and blow through the mouthpiece.

I don't own a Unitank so I'm not familiar with the spring issues. There are some good tips on MVS website (just scroll down a bit);

Kanger Unitank BCC Clearomizer Tank

Gurgling in other Kanger BCC clearos is caused by excess moisture in the air tube, like macman said. You can also just wipe it dry with with a q-tip or a tissue.

Taking a few puffs without pushing your battery button draws the e-liquid into the atomizer without vaporizing it. That primes (moistens) the coil and helps prevent dry hits.

Katya, thanks for taking a stab at it anyway. I have some medical stuff going on at the moment that makes it pretty hard to function in a coherent manner all the time and tonight definately isn't one of them. Just don't want somebody to fall through the cracks and you guys came to the rescue. Not to get musshy or anything on you guys but

I miss the caped chicken. :( :)

He's back--just for you, Flamingo!

Please feel better. Sending good thoughts your way!

THERE"S MY MAN!!! Aw, cool. Thank you! This is getting a bit mushy isn't it? Loving seeing Super Chick, Dracula Chick, Uber Cool Chick, Caped Crusader Chick back, LOL. Thank you :D

By today's medical standards it's a serious medical problem with an almost outpatient cure. [Pretty amazing, eh?] Still scrambles your brains for a bit. I sincerely appreciate your efforts and well wishes. Um, ,thank you, carry on. :)

Thanks for the responses. I'd been clearing the tube out, but the issue was that it kept happening and leaking a lot.

I got the Davide today, and like it but it's going to be a pain to fill, I'm going to need to use a fine tip bottle, transferring the juice and relabelling.

I'd been using the unitank for three weeks without these problems. I also got new coils and will be fiddling with the unitank again when I get a bit more ambitious (using a juice that I don't like), but I'm pretty sure that the problem is related to the spring. It's hard for me to get out and about but next time I am I'll probably try finding a replacement.

I actually prefer the Kanger protank II to the Unitank because it's NOT a top fill. I found the Unitank to be a pain in the back side to be honest. The one thing that annoyed me most about the Unitank was that you could not replace the coil without losing all the juice. Protank this is not the case, just remove the base, stand it up with the drip tip removed, and replace the coil and screw the base back on and you can keep the full tank of juice. I had a fair bit of flooding with my unitank as well. Couldn't run those below half tank without problems. Not the answer to your problem, just saying that I found the bottom fill tanks to be better anyways.
