Having a problem with new vape

Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and appreciate all the help. vaping helped me quit smoking and I feel a lot better, but I'm gonna get right into the problem. I have a 50w eleaf and artcit tank spent around 100. I noticed today my vape was hitting extremely weak. My friend has the same setup and we compared smoke. It's hitting weak, doesn't make a crackling noise, and sometimes spits juice. I have a .2 and .5 coil and have switched between them a couple times. Same problem. I have it filled (tank) and it's charged. My friend thinks it's the battery

Hello and welcome, When was the last time you put a new coil in it. Also how old is the device, I would doubt its the battery but we are gonna need a Lil more info from you

All the parts brand new only a week old. I just put in a new coil yesterday. I have two .5 and one .2 all brand new. Sorry for the lack of info.

In what mode are you using your iStick and what type of coils are you using?

30.00 watts and .6 coil I'm not sure what brand if you're asking

I assume you meant the arctic tank, running it at 30 Watts should be OK. Did you and your friend use the same liquid, wattage and coils when comparing? Perhaps your 510 connector of your tank is not making good contact.

Yeah that's the tank. Yes we had the same watts liquid and coil. Is that the part that connects the tank to the battery? Because I've I've never taken that off. Just the tank.

Yes exactly, that part. Might not be fully screwed on, or have spilled some liquid in it. Note that there are also NI200 coils for the arctic, you shouldn't use those in Wattage mode.

Update: just wanted to add it sounds like the coil is barely burning the oil. It makes no sound at all which is unusual to me.

One in so many factory coils don't work, could be bad luck, did you screw it on tight? You could try putting your friend's tank on your istick, to rule out there's something wrong with it.

Did you also check the airflow settings?

I have been looking online and some people say the connector pin to the atomizer can get stripped or turned the wrong way, making the connection bad.

Just looked at the atomizer/coil it's a kenthol wire

Kanthal is fine to use in wattage mode, the .5 coil should work ok with 30 Watts. I'm not sure how experienced you are, can't you have the vendor take a look at it? Adjusting your connector might just be too much for now.

Yeah I'm gonna go back to the shop. The guy there is cool and will probably fix it for me. I'll get back to you when it's resolved and let you know what it was

It could be the battery

However the wick may be clogged or the coil is defective.

Always start your coils at low wattage and work up , many believe it can prolong a heads lifespan when not shocked by high power first .

It is also true that some heads are dud's from the start , toss those .
