Having an issue with my vamo?

I am a newbie at vaping but boughht a vamo from a local vendor andwhen is use it with 2 18350 batteries works great but switch to 1 18650 battery and it to me doesnt work the same less power it seems. So i stopped by another local shop and he tested it and it was only pushing 5 volts when i had it set at 6. I t appears to be a knockoff but the vendor i bought it from says no( i paid to much for it i now know).

Anyone else have the battery issue with it? its only 2 months old

make sure you are in rms mode...( hold both buttons down until it says no2). it may be in avg (average mode)
that may be the problem.

hi, have you tested with different battery? check your batteries when they are charged with a volt meter and let us know what voltage they read once changed. The meter that was used that is testing it at 5v vs 6v could also be off by a volt. If its vaping like a champ and you are getting a decent amount of usage time on the battery/vamo between charges I'm not so sure in would be all that concerned.

What resistance coil were you trying to fire at 6v with the 18650? The Vamo can provide more power when using stacked 18350s.

It is in NO2 mode and it works great with to 18350 batteries but seems like it poops out with a 18650. both fully charged it read 5.3 and then he stuck a battery of his (18650 imr i think) and did the same and some time it would not read at all. then he grabbed his display vamo and it read 6.1 with my batteries.

I was wondering if it is going out so i bot a mechanical mod from him that he made. then he suggested a 5 ohm single carto with it because i dont like the to much heat and the mechanical mod vapes like a champ with a tank and the 5 ohm single coil carto. i need to find the right ohm carto that i lke so he gave me afew different ones to test out,

Your VAMO contacts may be loose.

Clean all contacts. probably all that is wrong.
Yes it will perform better with 2x 18350. It is easier to down regulate than Boost power.

If all else fails buy AW IMR 28650's they handle more amps.

My new mechanical mod with 2-18350 is kicking solid at 8+ volts. Working great love it plus it looks nice. Just thought i would throw that on here i was nervous getting a mechanical mod but glad i did.

Shouldnt they last longer than 2 months. Just saying. I have only had an ego battery and the vamo and only been vaping for 4 months. Still learning how it all works.

Just be sure you're following all safety precautions when stacking IMO.

18650 battery and it to me doesnt work the same less power it seems.

Many diff types of 18650's out there- some work and some don't. Without a link or knowing the type of batt can't really advise you regarding the issue.

never mind the local store i bought it from tested it and something was defective in it.. They actually exchanged it for a new one and is working great.
