when I take a draw on my PHIX all I do is cough plus there's no smoke. The store I bought it at won't exchange it for something else
You mean there is no vapor. The reason we are using a smoke cessation device is to get away from smoke and combustable tobacco leaves.

If there is no vapor, something is wrong with the device or there is no e-liquid in it. The store should at least trouble shoot the device if it is a brick-and-mortar.

Assuming the device is actually working correctly, some folks making the conversion from smoking to vaping can have a difficult transition. There is actually a different technique in how you inhale vapor.

As I said above, some folks have a little trouble making the transition. Remember when you FIRST began to smoke, you probably coughed some after taking a drag. Your body adjusted to the smoke over time and you didn't cough. Same will be true with vaping.

Vaping will cause a dry mouth and throat, so increase your fluid intake. Use some hard candy or gum to keep your saliva flowing.

From the website;

Key Features of the Phix Vape Kit:
  • Closed loop vaping system
  • Integrated 280 mAh battery
  • 1.5ml pod capacity (refills come 5% nicotine by weight - 50mg nicotine)
  • Patented ceramic coil with 1.4-1.5-ohm resistance
  • 3.7V wattage
  • USB charging port and charger included
  • Up to 220 puffs per charge
  • Choice of e-juice pod flavors
  • 1 x Tobacco e-juice pod included
Those pod systems usually come with very high nicotine content. 5% is 50 mg/ml which is very high.

I remember a video with GrimmGreen when he first tried a Juul. He coughed a lot and he is an experienced vaper.

It should be putting out vapor though. Maybe you can't take a big enough hit due to the irritation.

From what I can tell there are 2 possible issues here
1 the device is defective/empty
2 the device is loaded with too high of a nic level for the amount of cigarettes you were smoking

I was a 2 pack a day smoker and the highest I could ever stand with out coughing my head off was 36mg nic(your lists at 50mg)

your mileage may vary however

but bottom line I would suggest better equipment that you can control the juice being used as well as wattage it is vaped at.

hope this helps

If the Phix is truly "sub0hm" like the picture says, you should be getting lots of vapor. Either it's user error (though it looks pretty simple) or the device is broken. Unless the store is an extremely hostile environment I would take it in and ask them to "help" you use it, and if they fail, I think you are more likely to get a refund. If it was online, if you have a vape store near you, you could go there for help. If your vendor is refusing to warranty and replace, you have a decent case for a chargeback from your bank or credit card. Could also contact the company who manufactures it for advice.

Sorry to not be of more help,
