So iv been making my own liquid going on about 2 years now. I always buy my supplies from ecx. Iv found my juices (compared to off the shelf juice) are very harsh, like very very harsh. Mostly it dosent bother me as I think my throat has acclimated to the harshness. But there is something itching at me to figure out why it's so harsh. Here's all my info.
1. I buy 250ml 100mg/ml nicotine from ecx in 100% pg
2. I buy pre mixed 70/30 so 70% vg
3. I use vanilla and custard flavorings.

It can't be a miscalculation on nic level. I'm not getting nic sick, I'm getting a harsh throat hit. I use as high a vg % I can without effecting my wicking in my rta tanks.

Thanks for reading and or trying to help.

Just for a simple answer whenever I get a harshness, I lower the nic amount, and/or raise the vg amount.
Excellent recommendation. IT WORKS.
Might want to check you resistance/coil and power setting to see if you are frying your juice. To high temp. coil will give me a harsh taste. If in doubt, you could adjust temp. downward.

Pretty simple. You have to sample your bases and see how they taste. Start with your base. If that is smooth add your nicotine. If it is harsh there is your answer buy a different nicotine. If both of those check out fine then flavor percentages come into play. Maybe making max VG with a little distilled water to wick in the RDA's. But first you have to test your base material.
