Hawaii public hearing Tuesday 2/11/14 9:30 AM on SB2222 to ban the sale of all flavored tobacco products including vapor products

its been a busy February in Hawaii.
we've been SLAMMED in the legislature.

which provides a week's end update (in general the anti-flavor 'keiki" pkg and related bills have passed forward to WAM. (Ways and Means committee, having garnered postive support during prior readings).

Thanks to CASAA, with a reminder to all- State Lawmakers tend to follow trends! If these continue forward, they will likely be used as precedence in other states to pass the same/similar legislations.
(btw-keiki is Hawaiian for Children; ENDS is Electronic Nicotine Delivery System; mahalo is thank you in Hawaiian.)

A reminder- in Hawaii you do NOT need to be a resident to submit testimony
opposing these legislative actions. You can visit enter the keyword search "e-cigarette" to see whats up. You will need to register your name, address, email to enter testimony online.

Sorry for being slow here, but can I get an update for news summary purposes? What's alive, and what's dead? Give me bill #s please, next hearing dates (if any - otherwise does that mean they're ready for the floor in one house or the other)?

I apologize for being dense, but I'm trying to keep track of all the states and localities here as needed for daily news summaries.

for a visitor, the "keyword" search will work well enough to bring up current House and Senate Bills and the status. you'll have to "noodle" around between menu on the right or click on measures to find more detail such as presented testimony, online input, etc. I simply use "e-cigarette" in the keyword search...(noodling to left side menu).

I unfortunately live and work onthe big island, only travelling home to Oahu
a couple times a month on pre determined days. I've been trying to correlate my work requirements with hearings- but out of my control to a large extent.
