Well my vt200 died today - I've been using it as a stay at home device -for the most part nothing special on the topper - just a zephyr w/ dual titanium coils - 2mm wrap - dual coil came out to .17 ohms - I was using sweet spots csv profile. Decided. To take it out to day to a real life scenario... You know shopping - dinner - all those good things with the family . Went the whole day happily vaping @ 25 watts & 420 Fahrenheit. Battery performance was great - came home vapes someore- put it down.... And now - no lights - escribe cannot see it - hooked it up to a charger - I feel it get warm. So I figure disconnect the battery for a few minutes... Shrug - put it back in and still no heartbeat, no lights .... Nothing... Going to the dealer tomorrow - hopefully they can help me out... Picked this baby up on Oct 20

Best regards
.... Good thing a have a ranger and a dna 40 as a back up... Bit still when things like this happen its not a happy thing....

I get 10.45wh after running the battery analyzer.
1300mah...NOT.
what did you set your cell soft cutoff voltage at? i think mines' either 3 or 3.09 i forget.

im lookin at my black vt200 to the right of me as i hold my reuleaux in my hand and wonder "maybe i should throw my kanger evod clearo on you and only run you at 8 watts, or risk blowing your guts out with a dripper, lol."

What color? Was it silver? I know on the Evolv forums a lot of people have mentioned silver ones dying.

sigh... it was a black one serial #0561 w/brass 510... i was very very happy with it - starting to dabble on titanium wires and all that fun! I opened a repair ticket with evolv - hopefully one of them - either the brick and mortar store or evolv gives me a little love... sigh

Soft cutoff is 3.09.

For anyone interested I've just discovered one of my local vendors here in Ireland is selling VT200 enclosures.
They're complete with stainless 510 connections and all screws/buttons required, they're also legit HCigar items as opposed to being copies.

I've priced everything and it comes in a little cheaper than buying a VT200 outright - these enclosures are in and around the same price as printed boxes from shapeways.
Hcigar VT200 body

I much prefer the idea of building my own mods as opposed to buying them outright - much more fun!

I ordered one, i let you know if i received it and run the analyzer on it.

Thanks mate, got the enclosure and battery on the way but I have to get an xt30 for the battery connection - and the board!
It'll be a while before I can actually find out the true battery capacity for the settings.

Does anyone know what the capacity of the "V2" battery is?
I'm just wondering if Hcigar have been truthful about the 1300mah capacity in this one.
It's not 1300mah. After running case analyzer and battery analyzer, my Mh is set to 10.45 which is about 1148mah.
Still not too bad and I'm getting almost a day of vaping with it.
I get on average 235 puffs with an average puff time of of 5.9 seconds.Typically running a build of Titanium .146 dual coil - 490 degrees

That the V2 battery?
It's listed as being "improved" so I thought they may be truthful this time.

Got my VT200 enclosure, the positive wire is pre-soldered and the 510 is the gold plated stainless version - hoping I can get all the required components to have it working by Monday at the latest.

I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but I wrote to Hcigar regarding their Escribe settings. I asked about the Mod Resistance setting and what it should be set at for the SS 510 connection version. They told me the average value in their testing was "0.004".

I'm sorry if that's old news, but I couldn't get a definitive answer anywhere (for the SS 510 connection). I've seen it anywhere between 0.0045 and 0.022 (which seemed kind of high to me) so I asked them directly. Hope the helps someone!

djsb (the Youtube reviewer) has a bunch of settings on his website;
DNA200

According to him, the resistance for the SS 510 version is 0,022 - I'd be inclined to go for that one as he's very well informed about these things.
That's actually what prompted me to ask Hcigar. I'm not saying he's wrong, but when I popped in 0.022 in Escribe, my resistance was off by about 0.03-0.05 more than it should be. Using the figure Hcigar gave me, it's just about spot on. According to the Evolve forums, Mod Resistance is a big deal if you use the wrong figure, so I felt inclined to make sure. I'll probably grab some copper wire and test it myself lol.
