I love my vt200 and goblin mini. I fit twisted ti build in the goblin and either tonight or tomorrow I'm gonna try a titanium Clapton with some thinner wire. I fit a Clapton ti in my crius so I hope I can make it work.
I was thinking the same for a clapton Ti.What gauges do think works best.I may do the same.Waiting for my 2 Crius tanks to to get here.Ordered from Gearbest last night think they were $21 or $24 each. The 4.2ML tank with velocity style deck(BLK).Cant wait

That the V2 battery?
It's listed as being "improved" so I thought they may be truthful this time.

Got my VT200 enclosure, the positive wire is pre-soldered and the 510 is the gold plated stainless version - hoping I can get all the required components to have it working by Monday at the latest.

Gold-plated SS 510?? I thought it was brass... So how can you tell whether your 510 is brass or gold-plated SS?

I just made a dual spaced fused Clapton 26gTi1/36gKA1 for my Velocity. I have a couple Crius tanks as well. These probably won't fit in there. I did put regular claptons in my Crius once though. 26g/36g fit fine.

I have a white v2 crius and a black v3 with the velocity posts and love them both. In the v3 I used 28ga ti core with a 32g kanthal wrap. I think I used a 2id but it sprung back to about a 2.3 or 2.4id and I think it was 5 wrap and it is a spaced coil. I love twisted ti but ever since I started ti claptons and other advanced builds I can't go back lol.

The earlier versions are brass and I've had one since they first came out and the threads are still perfect. You can tell the difference if you look close at the platform of the 510. The brass version is well brass colored lol and the gold plated SS one is more shiny like gold plated is. It's pretty easy to tell the difference. If your ordering from a place just ask to make sure but I'm pretty sure most are the gold plated SS ones by now.

The Brass connections are not a shiny as the gold plated 510 - as Rockwell says the brass on the VT is a harder variety and is as strong as 304 steel supposedly.
I haven't head of anyone having problems with the brass 510 stripping or cross threading.

Yeah. I haven't been able to get away from fused claptons man. Fused with a SS core and KA1 wrap is my fave right now. This Ti build is not bad though. Wish I could get it above 0.1 ohms but I don't even want to mess with anything lower than 26g in titanium.

About the 510, my serial on my VT200 is like 0753, so pretty sure it's the brass but yeah, no problem with the threads after two months.

Maybe i'll go ahead and make some with 28 Ti and 32 Ka then be ready.I dont have any experience making claptons but it doesnt look all that hard.I smoked cigs so long my lungs arent in the best shape so i thought it wouldnt be possible to inhale .But I have been slowly bumping up the power in Temp mode.So maybe I can just at a cooler vape.

Thanks mate, got the enclosure and battery on the way but I have to get an xt30 for the battery connection - and the board!
It'll be a while before I can actually find out the true battery capacity for the settings.

I got my new V2 battery today, after fully charging i run the analyzer.
I got 11.339wh compared to the original battery 10.797wh.

Not that kind of difference i thought it would be! oh well, at least i got me a 'spare' battery now.

I haven't run the analyzer yet but the device monitor was showing 13.730mah when the cells all hit 4.20...
do you mean the watt hours at the top of dm? where it says charge? that's directly related to what is put in for watt hours under the "manufactures settings". if that's set incorrectly, what is shown in device mon will also be incorrect. just throw 11.28 wh's in under manufactures settings for the watt hours, change it from anything hcigar threw in there. at least it'll be more accurate till you have a chance to run analyzer yourself. 11.28 is what i got running it at 70 watts with .30 ohm load, you might be able to squeeze a little more out if you run the test at 40w.

That's really odd- have just come back to see latest posts about Hcigar- looking on DJLSBVapes' website, he has the following in regards to battery capacity:

Battery:
Capacity: 13,54 (ATTENTION, if your S/N is less then 7109 please change the Battery Capacity to 11,87)

This seems very specific- Wonder if he has managed information that they changed their battery at number 7109?!!!

I'm loving my diy VT200, battery life is pretty decent so far.
It's the first time I've used the DNA200 and I find TC to be leaps and bounds over the Chinese devices.

Not too sure about the cover I got for it but at least it's keeping everything pretty.

I call BS. Mine is S/N 85xx, I have my capacity set at 11.97 and it is right on. I think HCigar is just going to stick to their 1300mah with no regard to truth. Forever.

I went to my B&M last night and looked at a few DNA-200 mods and the VT200 is by far the nicest looking. It is much smaller than I figured it would be after watching the reviews. I knew I just had to get one, so I went home and ordered one online (apologies to my local B&M).

The only downside I can see is it doesn't allow (quick) battery removal and replacement. Perhaps I will buy a backup Lipo pack for those times I just can't wait on a charge.

In any case, this will be my first Evolv mod and am looking forward to getting on the DNA-200 train.

I picked up one of these the other day for those times when I might need a boost of power and I'm not near a USB outlet. Figured it would be good for power failures as well. I think you are really going to like the VT200, I know I do!

PS I'm not positive if the coupon is still active, It was a couple of days ago. Couldn't pass it up at that price. One other thing I'll add, the VT200 operates like a pass thru. You can use it while it's charging.

Cheers,
Steve

Nice!I like mine alot.keep using your battery it came with,Just plug it in each night. No big deal.It works fine. Its $20 or less to get another. Why not use it up first is my thinking.I think you'll like the device very much and take your time with the Escribe. It works well.

I love BOTH of my VT200s. Yep, I loved the first one (and my brother loves the one I bought him) so much that I bought a second one as a backup just in case. These are the only mods I have. All these things I hear people worrying/complaining about have been non-issues for me. Battery set to 14.43 as recommended by Hcigar and it lasts from 5am to 10pm with 25%-35% battery remaining, everyday. I have bought a total of 4 VT200s so far. The first one did die after 1 day. The next 3, absolutely no problems. Manufacturing is great, price was good, battery life is good, vape is awesome, options with the DNA & eScribe are better (I think) than anything else available right now. I love the look & feel of the device. I've had one for over three months now with no problems whatsoever. I don't think I could be happier....
