Well crap...I should have cancelled it earlier. Gearbest emailed me yesterday and said the charged my CC already. They said they wouldn't do that until they are ready to ship but their site is still saying it won't ship until after 9/18.

GearBest did the same thing to me on another item. So it is there standard approach. They did offer me a swap of equal value or put the money to the GearBest wallet until I decided on something else.
Because they pick Brass for some reason (do they tryed to be cheap?.. i dont think so). All this ''Stainless Steel drama'' starts here and good as I know HCigar they react ULTRA FAST (same now). They lisnen, they react, they do WHAT WE WANT (expect). Thats why its my fav company for last several years. So.. back to ''Brass-gate''.
My two HB50 with Brass 510 do great job till today. Theres NO WAY something can go wrong with 1st batch VT200. Thats why i dont give a s**t bout SS version.

I dont give a damn bout YT reviews. I do mine: Boxer (SS) vs VT200 (Brass) and (i hope) proof that Brass 510 act BETTER in TC mode.
Both should come next week. Stay tune...

I bet a beer that SS 510 will ''catch'' Temp. Protected MUCH MORE OFTEN than Brass.

Hate GB because they won't let you cancel an order and give you a refund until they have received and are ready to ship the order. What kind of crap is that. You have to catch them at the exact moment after they have received it before they ship it and when you do it still takes 5 business days to credit your PayPal account. Pay Pal does have the "Don't pay until you receive" option. That might be the way to deal with GearBest.

I don't know about tests I believe the concern about Barss is it doesn't hold up as long as SS. It is just much softer and more subject to wear.
I believe that is the concern I guess the brass will also oxidize fairly quick and require a little extra attention to cleaning.
I cancelled several orders at gb, sometimes they had the money already, in some cases not. Got my refund always in 24h.
Nevertheless they suck and communication is horrible.

I agree, just curious to see if the Hcigar argument of better stability holds water. Plus I had the unit already on order and did not want to wait an extra month. I am confident that I can manage the 510 swap if it goes fubar.
They enter an authorization to charge you that amount on your PP account but don't take money until they are ready to ship. They say that they cannot reverse the authorization to receive the funds until they actually receive them, then refund your money at that time but it will take 5 business days. That is how they worked it with me anyway.
Looks like Evolv has expanded into China, not just Hcigar....I see at least 3 more companies making DNA200 mods one of them being the infamous Hana Modz cloner....Hotcig.

I'm not sure if the SS pin issues gonna be a valid reason for me to cancel my order since I ordered mine from GB at a discounted price. If the brass pin does gives problems then I guess this will be a trade off for me.
It's not the pin that's the issue, it's the threads.
Brass will tarnish and the hardness of the brass is crapshoot, anybody's guess....
The upgrade to stainless threads will probably have a gold-plated center pin
Not true! Typical gb lie. They cancelled 3 orders that were in authorization status for me without a problem.
